Cricket Training Under Match Pressure
Cricket is as much a mental game as it is physical. I create high-intensity, match-like scenarios in the nets to help you handle pressure, make the right decisions, and perform when it counts.
We regularly run full match simulations, just like a real Kanga League game. This helps players learn how to build an innings, rotate the strike, and handle different phases of a match.
A friendly challenge in the nets: our spinner Nayan claims he can get Tanishq out in 18 balls. This kind of one-on-one battle creates real pressure and makes practice more engaging and competitive.
About Training Under Match Pressure
Cricket practice in the nets is fundamentally different from a live match. I put you in specific scenarios where you have to survive a set number of balls against fresh bowlers, just like you would face in a Kanga League game. You learn how to rotate the strike, identify the right delivery to attack, and keep your composure when the pressure is actually on.
In a real match, you don't get unlimited chances. You get one. My match simulation drills are designed to replicate that reality. Whether it is a 36-ball survival challenge or a situation where you need to chase down a specific target with a field set to restrict your scoring, the goal is always the same: mental clarity.
I see many talented players who struggle once they step out of the comfort of the standard nets. That is where my training changes. I use bowling machines for pace intensity and side-arm throwers for unpredictable movement. We simulate field placements and match phases so you are not surprised when you walk out to the middle.
This is not just about hitting every ball for a boundary. It is about understanding your role in the innings. I work on your temperament—knowing when to defend and when to take calculated risks. For those of you who get nervous, these simulations build the necessary confidence to back your technique. We break down your decision-making process after every drill, so you understand why a particular shot was or was not the right choice. It is honest, hard work that prepares you for competitive cricket in Mumbai.
