About Mastering the Art of Batting
My batting sessions are strictly about the basics. If your head isn't towards the ball or your weight is stuck, the shot won't work, regardless of your intent. We fix this using T-cone drills and side-arm throwers to correct your trigger movement right there in the nets. It is not about fancy gear, it is about getting your fundamentals right so you can execute every single time you step up to the crease.
Whether you are struggling with a high-pace pull shot or can't seem to get your sweep right against spin, the problem usually isn't the shot—it's the setup. At Centurions, we use T-cone drills and bowling machines to simulate match scenarios, allowing us to break down your stance, backlift, and follow-through.
Our Coaching Process
- Technique Correction: We use video analysis and side-arm throwers to identify mechanical flaws in real-time. If your elbows are trailing or your weight is transferring too early, we catch it instantly.
- Match Simulation: We don't just hit balls. We create scenarios where you have to defend or attack based on the field setup. This builds the match temperament you need to score runs.
- The Basics Matter: You might want to play like a pro, but a pro is just someone who executes the basics perfectly. We work on your head position and bat speed until they become muscle memory.
Common Batting Issues We Fix
- Weight Transfer: Players often stay on their back foot when they should be driving. We correct this by forcing you to commit your front leg early.
- Sweep Mechanics: Many students get out LBW because they don't get their head over the ball. We teach you how to get your chest towards the knee to ensure you connect cleanly.
- Pull Shot Balance: It is easy to lose balance when you swing hard. We teach you how to keep your eyes level and your swing compact to generate power without losing control.
Whether you are training at our Kurla academy or our Andheri ground, the expectation is the same. Come prepared to work hard. Every ball is a new opportunity to fix one small error. Shabash, let’s get started.
