My Coaching Philosophy: The Centurions Way
Cricket is simple if you respect the basics. My coaching is about small, daily adjustments—footwork, head position, and weight transfer—to build a foundation that turns potential into performance.
Here I am working with Gia on her return from injury. We are starting with basic, one-step bowling drills to slowly rebuild her action and ensure her leg comes in line to prevent future stress. It's about smart, progressive training.
As a coach, my job is to watch every ball and guide my players. I am always there, observing and analyzing, ready to provide the feedback that turns potential into performance.
With young bowlers, I focus on simple, clear instructions. Here, I am correcting a player's arm action, reminding him to keep it straight to build a clean and repeatable bowling technique. Small corrections now lead to big results later.
Under my watchful eye, Gia practices her front-foot drives. I provide constant feedback on her form, from foot placement to the follow-through, because mastering these basics is the key to building a great innings.
A good coach-player conversation is key. Here, I am discussing bowling technique with a young player, explaining the mechanics before he puts it into practice in the nets. Understanding the 'why' is as important as the 'how'.
About My Coaching Philosophy: The Centurions Way
You won't find flashy gimmicks here. When I work with a player, whether they are returning from an injury or trying to fix a stubborn backlift, I look at the biomechanics first. We strip the technique down to the simplest movement—where your foot lands, how your head is positioned, and if your weight is balanced—because if the foundation is weak, no amount of power will save your wicket.
Cricket is a game of repetition and muscle memory. I have seen enough players lose their wicket because they were chasing power instead of perfection. At Centurions, we change that by focusing on small tweaks for big results.
For instance, when a player like Gia comes to me after an injury, we do not just jump back into nets. We start from scratch. We look at why the injury happened—often it is a simple mechanical flaw like lateral flexion or poor weight transfer—and we isolate that movement. By correcting the footwork and the action line, we not only improve the delivery but also ensure the body stays protected for the long haul.
My sessions are backed by technology where it matters. We use video analysis to show you exactly what your body is doing versus what it should be doing. Whether you are using our bowling machines to practice high-pace defensive shots or working with side-arm throwers, every drill has a purpose. We train in Kurla and Andheri, offering both indoor turf nets for technical precision and red soil wickets for match-day realism.
If you are serious about fixing your bowling action, improving your front-foot drive, or just building the mental toughness to handle pressure, you are in the right place. My coaching is not for everyone—it is for those who want to put in the work, day in and day out.
