Every polished performance starts with messy, slow practice. Here is the real, unscripted side of my flow journey—no stage lights, just me, my staff, and the grind.

A look back at my flow journey over the last year. It's amazing to see how much I've grown, and I'm so grateful for every step of the way.

How's my dance thing going? Pretty good, thanks. This is a reminder that consistency is the real secret, and you have to start somewhere to get anywhere.

A simple clip showing the start of my journey and a glimpse of the performer I've become. It's all about the progress.

A slow, real-time practice video with my dragon staff. In a world of fast scrolling, I want to encourage slowing down and prioritizing expression over algorithms.

Gotta start somewhere, right? This is me practicing a new dragon staff move, hoping it will look smooth in a year's time. It's all part of the process.

Bollywood nostalgia with a saree and a staff. I love challenging myself by flowing in different outfits, combining my love for dance and prop spinning.

A slow, meditative flow session by the water at dusk. These quiet moments of practice are just as important as the high-energy shows.

A clip from a performance at the Bangalore Creative Circus. I'm so thankful for platforms like this that give artists a space to shine.

A professionally shot video of my staff spinning. I'm so grateful to my crew for helping me transform into the performer I am today.

Part two of my performance at the Christmas Flow Carnival. Just me, my staff, and the flow.

About My Flow Journey: Practice & Progress

People often ask how I learned staff spinning, and the truth is less glamorous: it is hours of dropping the prop in my living room. I don’t believe in overnight perfection, just consistent, weird, fun movement. If you are looking to start your own flow journey, I always recommend getting a soft practice staff to save your knuckles and your floor while you figure out the basics.

Behind the Polished Performance

Most of what you see on stage—the fire spinning, the LED trails—is the result of hundreds of hours of 'oops, I dropped it' moments at home. My journey with flow arts didn't start in a big studio; it started in 2022 when I needed a way to move through some messy times. I picked up a stick, and it became my meditation.

Why Practice is the Real Magic

Whether I am prepping for a corporate gig in Bengaluru or just flowing on my terrace at dusk, the foundation is the same. I want this space to be a reminder that you don't need a fancy setup to start. You just need curiosity.

  • Start Small: My early videos are proof that you look a bit silly when you start. That is part of the deal.
  • Get the Right Gear: I started making my own practice staffs because I didn't want to worry about noise or broken furniture.
  • Find Your Vibe: Flow arts isn't just about technical moves; it's about connecting with music, whether it's Techno or Bollywood classics.

Let’s Move Together

I teach beginner workshops in Bangalore and online, specifically designed for people who think they have two left feet. We focus on laughing, stretching, and finding your own flow, not hitting every beat perfectly. If you are curious about learning to spin a staff or just want to try a new form of mindful movement, let’s chat. You might be surprised at what your body can do when you stop trying to be perfect and just start having fun.
