I love turning faces, moments, and memories into wearable art. Whether it is a portrait of a loved one for your wedding or a festive scene, I am here to bring your unique story to life on your skin.

A close-up of a portrait I doodled on my arm. I love practicing new faces and hair textures, letting my creativity flow to create unique characters with henna.

This full-arm design features a custom portrait of the groom, surrounded by intricate floral and peacock motifs. It's a beautiful way to include a loved one in your henna design.

A client once joked she wanted to have her husband "in her grip," so I made it happen. This portrait was a fun and hilarious request that shows how personalized henna can be.

This full two-hand design was created for Vat Purnima. One hand features a portrait of a woman praying, while the other depicts a scene of devotion under a banyan tree.

A Karwa Chauth special featuring a portrait of Lord Shiva and Parvati. This is a powerful way to celebrate the festival with a design that is both beautiful and meaningful.

I love practicing different art styles, and this piece was inspired by Disney princesses. The design combines a soft, animated-style portrait with a cascade of delicate flowers.

Created for a client's 25th wedding anniversary, this semi-bridal design includes their names within the pattern. It’s a beautiful way to celebrate a milestone.

This video shows the freestyle process of creating the Vat Purnima design. You can see how I build the figures and intricate details from scratch, letting the story unfold.

A short clip showing the finished Vat Purnima design, which tells a story of devotion. I love creating narrative pieces like this for special occasions.

About Portrait & Figurative Henna

Portrait henna requires a bit more than just a quick sketch to get the likeness right. I need a clear, high-resolution photo to capture details like expressions and hair texture, so please have those ready when we discuss your design. These pieces take longer than standard floral patterns, so I recommend we plan for a session where you can sit comfortably while I focus on the finer details.

Portrait henna is where I get to experiment the most. It is not just about drawing lines, but capturing a feeling or a memory, like the face of a loved one or a scene that holds personal meaning. I have done everything from classic deity portraits for Karwa Chauth to quirky fan-art and anniversary tributes.

These designs are a collaborative process. If you have a specific face or scene in mind, send me the clearest photo you have. Details like hair texture, facial expressions, and distinct clothing items help me get the likeness right on your skin. Because of the level of precision involved, these pieces usually require more time than typical floral or mandala patterns, so we should plan our session accordingly.

I use my own organic henna paste for all my work, which ensures a deep, rich stain that makes these portraits pop against the skin. Whether you are looking for a full bridal piece that tells the story of your relationship or a small, meaningful doodle for a festival, I am here to work with you. My studio is in Navi Mumbai, but I travel across India for events if you have something special in mind. Let’s make your henna as unique as your story.

I'm Radhika, the person behind Caffeinated Henna. I started with simple doodles as a kid and eventually fell in love with turning people's faces and memories into henna art. My goal is to move beyond traditional patterns and create something that truly represents you.
