For the big days and festive moments where only full-coverage art will do. I blend classic motifs like peacocks and paisleys with clean geometric grids for a rich, statement look.

This design has such a regal feel with its combination of peacocks, lotuses, and architectural elements. It's a full-coverage look that is both bold and elegant.

A lovely design for a family friend who requested her two favorite elements: peacocks and grids. The result is a beautiful blend of traditional motifs and geometric patterns.

A beautiful engagement henna set featuring the couple's initials and wedding rings inside hearts on the palms, surrounded by traditional peacock and floral work.

I love how the elements in this floral henna set complement each other without being a perfect mirror image. It creates a dynamic and balanced look across both hands.

A custom design featuring a mix of sunflowers and sakura blossoms, combined with a classic grid pattern. This shows how we can mix different floral elements for a unique look.

A gorgeous, full-coverage design I did for Eid. The back of the hands features a bold mandala surrounded by a delicate grid and leaf pattern.

A beautiful design from my Teej collection, featuring a mix of florals, grids, and traditional arch patterns. The contrasting elements create a full and festive look.

I was so thrilled to do this engagement henna for my teacher. The design features a prominent peacock on the arm with intricate patterns flowing down to the hand.

This design was inspired by Greek Corinthian columns, blending architectural structure with flowing organic patterns. I love the contrast between the bold and delicate elements.

I just love doing these intricate jali (grid) designs on the back of the hand. The repeating pattern is so mesmerizing and creates a beautiful stained-glass effect.

About Intricate & Traditional Designs

If you are looking for that deep, dark stain, the secret is in the patience and the paste. These heavy festive designs take between 30 to 45 minutes per side because I focus on layering the grid patterns and shading to create depth, rather than rushing through the traditional bharma fillers.

Traditional doesn't have to mean boring. I love taking classic elements, like the regal peacock or intricate paisley, and remixing them with modern geometric grids. Whether it is for your wedding, a festival like Teej or Eid, or just a celebration that calls for heavy, detailed work, I treat every design as a unique piece of art.

My process for these heavy designs is all about precision. I use my own freshly mixed organic henna paste, which is free of chemicals and essential for getting that rich mahogany stain you see in my gallery. When we work on a 3 to 4-inch forearm design, I spend time on the negative space and the shading to ensure the final result looks as good in photos as it does in person.

If you have a specific vision—maybe a mix of Greek-inspired columns or a traditional Jali pattern—bring it to me. I love a good challenge and am always happy to customize patterns to fit your style. Just a heads up, these detailed pieces require you to sit still for about 45 minutes per side, but the deep color payoff is worth it.

Hey, I'm Radhika. I started doodling on my mom's hands when I was a kid and never really stopped. I'm all about that perfect, dark stain and creating traditional art that feels fresh, whether it's a grid pattern or a classic peacock.
