Master Explosive Power: Olympic Lifting
Olympic lifting is the ultimate test of speed, precision, and explosive power. If you are tired of standard gym routines and want to build real athletic strength, these complex movements are your answer.
The fighting game is for the stubborn. The one who is more stubborn will win. You have to keep going, and I will keep going. I won't quit. This is the mindset needed for explosive lifts like the power snatch.
The clean is a foundational Olympic weightlifting movement that builds incredible full-body power and coordination. Mastering this explosive lift translates to better performance in any sport.
Remember that every big achievement starts with a small step. This clip shows the process of a barbell clean, focusing on the technique required to lift the weight from the floor to the shoulders efficiently.
You learn more from failure than from success. Here, I'm working on the upright row, a key accessory movement to build the pulling strength required for more complex Olympic lifts like the clean and snatch.
You can't appreciate the good times unless you've had bad times. This video demonstrates the power snatch, a highly technical lift that requires speed, precision, and total body coordination.
Hope makes the present moment easier to bear. This clip shows an overhead squat, a critical movement for developing the stability and mobility needed for the snatch and clean and jerk.
Don't be afraid. Life plays its toughest games with its best players. This workout combines explosive cleans with core work, building the resilience and strength needed to overcome any challenge.
My determination to succeed is strong enough that failure will never overtake me. This clip shows a combination of barbell cleans and burpees, a classic CrossFit pairing for building power and cardiovascular endurance.
About Explosive Power: Olympic Lifting
Master the clean, the snatch, and the overhead squat properly before you add heavy plates. I see too many people rushing these moves and risking their joints. We spend time on your mobility and fundamentals first because if you cannot move well, you cannot lift heavy.
Olympic lifting is not about ego lifting. It is about neurological adaptation, precision, and coordination. When you perform a clean or a power snatch, you are training your body to generate maximum force in a fraction of a second. This is how you build an athletic body that actually performs, not just one that looks good in the mirror.
My approach is strictly technical. We work on your mobility first. If your hips are tight or your ankles lack range, you will never get under the bar safely. We start with the PVC pipe or an empty barbell. You learn the mechanics of the pull, the transition, and the catch. Once your form is locked in, we increase the load.
I train at facilities like Space Seven Fitness in Mohali and Burn Gym in Phase 5, where we have the dedicated space and bumper plates required for these lifts. You will not find me encouraging shortcuts or dangerous reps. We focus on the 'Jidd' (stubbornness) required to drill the same movement until it becomes second nature. Whether you are prepping for a CrossFit WOD or just want to level up your strength, this is how we build it.
