Listen everybody. Real success is not about positions or paychecks, but about the peace you carry inside. These are my reflections on life, happiness, and finding your own path.

People often ask why I left my corporate profession for yoga. The practice of Sudarshan Kriya was a profound turning point that set me on this path of service, a blessing from my guru, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji.

What is the real meaning of happiness? It is not found in the future. Happiness is a state of mind that comes from living in the present moment.

The biggest disease in human life is comparison. You are unique, like a thumbprint. Stop comparing yourself to others and you will find you can achieve anything.

To achieve anything great, you must reprogram your mind. Use self-affirmations, speak and watch positive things, and love yourself. You have to be the one to help yourself.

We should not question death. It is inevitable for everyone, even a yoga guru. A soul has to leave the body when its time has come. We should focus on the great work a person has done in their life.

If you want to protect your mind and lead a peaceful life, practice silence. Start with one hour a day. Most of our problems are created by our mouth, so keeping it shut is a powerful practice.

We lose peace for two reasons: what others say to us, and what we think they will think about us. Learn to accept feedback from those who love you and ignore the words of others. Stay neutral.

How do you handle insults? You can either feel bad or you can train your mind to say thank you. Often, people only insult those they see as weaker. Have the courage to rise above it.

The secret to changing your life is to believe in your own fortune. Tell yourself, "I am lucky," again and again. I came to this city with nothing and now run a premium yoga school.

A core belief we hold: "He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life." Stepping out of your comfort zone is essential for growth and achievement.

About Wisdom from the Guru

You might think you need a degree or a specific title to be successful, but most people are just running a race they have not chosen. I left a comfortable corporate life because I realized that the only real achievement is a peaceful mind that does not need to compete with anyone. If you are feeling lost in your daily routine, it is usually because you are disconnected from your own purpose.
