Handpicked Handloom Sarees by Mahitha Prasad
I bring authentic, hand-selected handloom sarees from across India to my HSR Layout studio during my exclusive three-day Six Yard Project events.
I am thrilled to announce my exclusive saree pop up, The Six Yard Project. I believe blouses and sarees share a timeless bond, and here I explain how I source these unique, high quality handloom pieces directly from weavers, just for this special 3 day event.

This clip features a magnificent royal blue Banarasi silk saree. I personally selected this piece for its deep color and the intricate gold floral jaal pattern, a classic example of Banarasi weaving heritage that I love to bring to my clients.
Just two days left for this edition of The Six Yard Project. This video gives a close up of a beautiful Kanchipuram silk saree in parrot green with a classic pink and gold border, a timeless combination for any celebration.

About this collection
My Six Yard Project is not a permanent retail store but an exclusive, three-day event hosted periodically at my HSR Layout studio. Because I personally travel across India to select these pieces, the collection is limited and varies with every edition, ensuring you walk away with a one-of-a-kind handloom treasure.
I source Banarasis, Kanjeevarams, and Paithanis directly from weavers, focusing on quality and authenticity. You will find pieces with genuine zari and intricate traditional motifs like Yali or floral jaals. I perform a manual quality check to filter out common weaving defects before any piece reaches the display rack. Whether you are looking for a heavy Mulberry silk for a wedding or a lightweight Kota Doria for a festive gathering, these editions offer a chance to touch and feel the weave before you buy. I also offer matching custom blouse stitching services, so you can pair your new saree with an embroidered piece designed to your measurements. The goal is to ensure you carry home a memory rather than just fabric.
