About Behind the Craft: Our Making Process
We do not hide behind stock photos or heavy editing. In our Bengaluru studio, we use a simple, in-house setup to ensure that the colours you see online—like our deep emerald green or soft pastel pink—are exactly what reaches your doorstep. When you choose a custom shade, my team is not just picking a bead; we are manually dyeing the enamel and setting the stones to match your specific outfit.
Transparency is the heart of Bindhani. When I started this, I wanted to create traditional Indian jewellery that didn't weigh you down. That is why our 'Stri Maya' team focuses on mesh-backed designs. This technique gives you that heavy, royal look you want for weddings, but keeps the weight distributed so you can wear your chandbalis or jhumkas from the morning Haldi ceremony all the way through to the late-night Sangeet.
The Process
Every piece goes through several stages of careful assembly:
- Metal Base: We start with copper or brass alloy, which provides durability while remaining lightweight.
- Hand-Setting: Whether it is Kundan, Polki, or CZ stones, each one is placed by hand. We skip the heavy machinery to ensure the integrity of the design.
- Enamel & Colour: This is where we handle custom requests. We use enamel art to dye pieces to your exact lehenga or saree shade. It is a slow process, but it ensures your jewellery is truly a match.
- Finishing: We do not just tag and ship. Every earring gets extra plastic stoppers and is packed in a hard-case box to prevent tangling during transit.
Why We Show You This
We believe in 'what you see is what you get.' You will notice our photography is not about high-fashion editorial perfection. It is about showing you the real size, the real shine of the polish, and the true colour of the beads. If you are ordering custom work for a bridesmaid set or a bridal trousseau, you deserve to know that the piece is made with human hands, not mass-produced in a factory. It is slow fashion, it is honest, and it is made in Bharat.
