About Oxidised & Silk Thread Pieces

I often get asked if I can match silk thread colors to a specific saree shade, and the answer is always yes. Whether you need a neon green choker for a Sangeet look or a subtle teal for a work function, I dye these threads and pair them with oxidised charms right here in my studio. It is all about giving you exactly what you need without the compromise.

There is something about the contrast of a vibrant silk thread against an oxidised silver coin charm that just works. For this collection, my team of women artisans and I focus on that perfect balance between bohemian style and traditional Indian craft. We make these pieces to be your go-to accessories, whether you are dressing up for a festive event in Bengaluru or just adding a pop of colour to your daily office wear.

The Making Process

Everything starts with a simple sketch and a vision. For the silk thread sets, I hand-select the thread and dye it to match your outfit. No more hunting for that one specific shade of magenta or turmeric yellow—I create it for you. We then finish these with oxidised silver-tone coin charms to add that rustic, bohemian touch.

For the oxidised earrings, my focus is purely on comfort. Big, heavy earrings can ruin a good time, so I design our jhumkas with mesh-backing and light, hollow domes. They look heavy, but they feel like nothing on your ears. We use a copper or brass base for longevity and ensure that even the dangling beads are securely fixed, so you can dance or work all day without worry.

Why Customise?

I started Bindhani in my Electronic City studio because I was tired of finding beautiful jewellery that I couldn't wear for more than an hour. Customisation is the heart of what we do. If you are a baisa looking for return gifts for a wedding or just want a set of bracelets for your bridesmaids, we can coordinate the colours and patterns to suit your theme.

Every piece is made in Bharat, with a whole lot of love and zero filters. What you see in these photos is exactly what you will receive in your box. If you have a specific colour palette in mind, let's talk.
