About Fencing Summer Camps
Why Fencing, Why Now
Fencing’s always felt like a game of chess, only you’re moving your body as much as your mind. I set up this summer camp so anyone can try out this Olympic sport in a place that’s more about learning and fun than pressure.
What Happens at Camp
- We start with the basics - footwork, blade skills, and the three weapons: Foil, Epee, Sabre.
- Every session has a mix of fencing drills, games, and sparring. It’s never just fitness or just technique. You’ll sweat, but you’ll laugh too.
- Whether you’re here for beginner fencing classes for kids or already know the ropes, I keep the groups small so everyone gets real attention.
- We use proper scoring gear for bouts, so you get the full experience.
Who Fits In Here
- Anyone aged 5 and up. Kids, teens, adults - doesn’t matter if you’re picking up a foil for the first time or want to push your skills further.
- I’ve seen shy kids come out of their shells, and confident ones get humbled. Fencing’s got a way of teaching you something new every day.
Our Coaching Approach
- All coaches are NIS certified and have worked with SAI. I was an international fencer and coached the Indian team, so I know what it takes to go from a summer sports camp with fencing to that next level.
- We focus on discipline, focus, and resilience, not just medals.
What Comes After
- If you want more, fencing opens doors - state competitions, university spots, even scholarships. But honestly, the biggest win is what you learn about yourself.
Failures are normal, but you’ll get up faster each time. That’s the real lesson here.

Lohith Vijay
My Story
Hey, Lohith here. Used to fence for India, coached the team too. Always wondered, why aren’t we winning more in Olympics? So, we started Bengaluru Fencing Club - me, Vivek, Eshwar, Vishwas. People think fencing’s risky, but trust me, it’s super safe, like playing chess with your body. We even do Ayudha Pooja, respect our gear, our journey. Watching students like Niharika win medals, or Omprasad push himself, that’s what makes it worth it. It’s all about giving folks the chance.
