Intensive Writing Workshops & Peer Feedback
Trade city traffic for deep focus. Join our 4-day intensives at Gudlu Resort to break writer’s block, sharpen your manuscript, and get honest feedback from peers who actually get it.
Watch our writers bring a story to life. This was a script reading exercise during a workshop session at the Gudlu Resort. Activities like this help you hear your dialogue out loud and get immediate, practical feedback on pacing and character voice from your peers.
Leaning in to listen. This is a typical scene from our feedback driven writing retreat groups, where writers share their work and receive thoughtful, honest critiques. The focus is always on helping each other make the story stronger.
We take our work wherever inspiration strikes. Here, a small group is deep in a story development session on the steps outside, surrounded by the natural beauty of the resort. A change of scenery can often unlock new perspectives on a difficult plot point.
Collaboration is key to growth. In this clip, two of our writers work together, reading through a piece and offering suggestions. This peer feedback process is a core part of our workshops, building both writing skills and a strong sense of community.
A quick look at the various forms our work takes during a retreat. From large group discussions led by me to intimate peer reviews and solo writing time, every part of the day is structured to support your creative process and help you move your project forward.
About Intensive Workshops & Feedback
You won't just be sitting in a room writing alone. Here, you will read your work aloud, debate plot points, and receive direct, unfiltered critiques from peers until you see exactly where your story needs to change. It feels intense, but it is the only way to stop being a serial first-drafter and actually finish what you started.
Why We Do Things Differently
Writing is a lonely job, and that is exactly why I built these retreats. We step away from the noise of Bangalore to a quiet, nature-centric spot like Gudlu Resort, where the only thing on your agenda is your manuscript.
The Feedback Loop
Our workshops are not lectures. We don't believe in passive learning. Instead, we use a hands-on model. You will be in small groups, sharing your work, participating in role-play to test dialogue, and running through writing sprints. The feedback you get here is practical and immediate. We look at pacing, character voice, and plot holes. You will learn to view your own work through the eyes of a reader, which is the most valuable skill a writer can develop.
Who This Is For
- The Stuck Writer: If you have a half-finished draft collecting digital dust, this is your accountability fix.
- The Seeker: If you want to know if your writing resonates or if your characters are flat, our peer review sessions will give you that reality check.
- The Community-Seeker: We are not an elite literary circle. We are a group of people who are passionate about words. Expect shared meals, long chats over chai, and making friends who care about your story as much as you do.
The Logistics
We keep it simple. You show up, we handle the transport, the meals, and the structure. You just need to bring your laptop or notebook and an open mind. We spend 4 days and 3 nights diving deep into the craft, ensuring you leave with tangible progress, not just a notebook full of ideas.
