About More Than a Climb: Strength & Conditioning
Most climbers hit a plateau because they climb without training the specific muscles that support their movement. I focus on building functional strength—think explosive power for dynos and core stability for overhangs—to help you stick those moves you are currently struggling with. We do not just work out; we condition your body to prevent common climbing injuries.
Often, when you are stuck on a route, it is not a lack of technique—it is a lack of strength. I have seen too many climbers push through fatigue only to end up with sore shoulders or strained fingers. In my gym in Malleshwaram, we use a mix of hangboards, pull-up progressions, and core work specifically tailored to climbing.
If you are a beginner, we start with the foundation. If you are aiming for competitions, I run high-intensity drills that mirror the pressure of comp-style problems. The goal is to make your body as capable as your ambition. Whether you are working on endurance or just want to feel more confident on vertical walls, these sessions are designed to get you there.
