Tango isn't just a sequence of steps; it's a conversation. Whether you’ve never danced or want to deepen your connection, join us in Bangalore to learn the art of the embrace, musicality, and community.

I'm Roopa, and I believe Tango is a meditative state of mind, not just a dance. Hear from one of my students how our classes make this partner dance form feel easy and natural, focusing on how you feel, not just how you look.

In my classes, leading and following are not tied to gender. I explain why these are roles of responsibility and choice that anyone can learn, because the best way to understand the dance is to walk in your partner's shoes.

I often say that Tango is a conversation, not a monologue. This is a core part of my philosophy. The dance becomes beautiful when it's a back-and-forth exchange between two active partners.

Here is a key technical tip from my TangoShastra method. I demonstrate how to create a stable and connected embrace by extending your body, not leaning on your partner. This ensures you both maintain your own balance.

I was honored to be featured in the Deccan Chronicle, sharing my journey of bringing Argentine Tango to India. This article highlights the special workshops and Milonga events we host to grow our vibrant dance community in Bangalore.

Curious to try Tango? My beginner-friendly classes are the perfect place to start. I hold them across Bangalore in Jayanagar, Koramangala, and Indiranagar, and you don't need any prior experience to join.

If you're not in Bangalore or can't make it to offline classes, you can still learn with me. My online sessions are designed to bring the essence of Tango and its focus on connection right to your home.

Learning with me means you also join a warm and welcoming community. This is a glimpse into our El Cabeceo Anniversary Milonga, a social dance night where students practice, connect, and celebrate together.

The best part of my job is seeing my students grow. Here are a few words from them about their experience in my beginner workshops, online rhythm courses, and how my teaching style makes them feel comfortable and confident.

This is what a typical introductory workshop looks like. It's a relaxed, friendly space filled with people from all walks of life, learning the fundamentals of the Tango walk and connection together.

About Featured

When you join a session, you won't be rote-memorizing steps or performing for an audience. We prioritize the 'TangoShastra' method—a logical, step-by-step breakdown of how to connect with your partner and the music. We rotate partners during class to help you learn both the leading and following roles, ensuring you understand the dance as a two-way dialogue from day one.
