Group Treks Near Bangalore: Friends, Campfires & Weekend Vibes
Trekking is great, but the real magic happens on the bus, around the campfire, and in the random conversations with strangers who quickly become friends.
Our group celebrating Independence Day at the top of Kodachadri. The fog and rain couldn't dampen our spirits.
Another shot of our Independence Day group at the ancient Kodachadri fort gate. Trekking with us is a great way to meet new people.

The best way to fix a stressful week is to get out and travel with friends, old and new. This is your sign to just pack your bags and go.
The energy in our bus is contagious. We believe in making every part of the trip a memory, including the travel time.
A recap of the Kodachadri trek, showing the hiking, the waterfalls, and the fun group moments. It's about the smiles you share along the way.
A vibe check from the Netravati trek. It's about the journey, the views, the friends you make, and even the dogs you meet on the trail.
About The Vibe: Friends, Campfires & Bus Parties
We do not just drop you at the trail and leave. On our weekend treks, the energy starts the moment you board our transport from Bangalore. Expect music, ice-breakers, and a group vibe where solo travelers find their tribe before we even reach the base camp. If you are coming alone, you will be sharing stories by the campfire within hours of landing.
It Is Not Just A Hike
Our philosophy is simple: Zindagi jab tumhari le rahi ho, toh ghumne nikal jao. While the Western Ghats offer stunning peaks like Kudremukha or Netravati, our trips are structured to prioritize community over just reaching the summit. We believe the connections you make are just as important as the view from the top.
The Disco Bus Energy
Our transit from Bangalore (Silk Board or Marathahalli) is not just a commute. Whether it is a late-night departure for a sunrise trek or a Friday night drive for a weekend trip, we keep the energy high. Music, bad jokes, and group games are standard. It is the perfect antidote to a long work week.
Campfire Connections
We steer clear of sterile hotels. We stick to rustic homestays or camping tents. It gets cold, it might rain, and there is usually a shared bonfire at the end of the day. This is where the real trekker bond happens. If you are anxious about joining a group as a solo traveler, know that the majority of our tribe comes alone. You will not stay a stranger for long.
Logistics & Safety
We handle the boring stuff so you can focus on the vibe. This includes:
- Transport: Round-trip transit from key Bangalore pickup points.
- Stay: Homestays or tents depending on the trail.
- Fuel: Meals that actually fill you up.
- Safety: Certified Trek Leads who know the trails better than their own backyard and keep safety protocols strict, even when we are joking around.
Backpackers United
We started Backpackers United back in 2017 because we wanted a space where people could actually chill, not just follow a rigid tour guide. We are that group that will force you to dance on the bus and will not let you sit alone at the campfire. It is just us, the trails, and the BPU fam.
