Pricing Guide
Sunrise Trek & Day Hike (Bangalore)
Logistics & Transport
- Vehicle: Non-AC Tempo Traveller or Mini-Bus with standard pushback seating.
- Schedule: Pick-up from Bangalore spots (Silk Board, Marathahalli) starting 11:00 PM, returning the next afternoon.
- Permits: Includes all Karnataka Forest Department trek entry fees.
Food & Guidance
- Meals: 1 Vegetarian Breakfast (Idli/Vada set menu) at a highway eatery. Lunch is excluded.
- Staff: 1 Certified Outdoor Trek Lead per group.
- Vibe: Group travel format with music and ice-breaking sessions during transit.
Weekend Western Ghats Trek (2 Days)
Transport & Transfers
- Bangalore Transfer: Round trip in Non-AC or AC Pushback Seater vehicle. Note that these are upright seats, not sleeper berths.
- Local Transfer: Includes 4x4 Jeep rides required to reach the trek base from the homestay.
Accommodation & Facilities
- Stay: Basic Homestay (Dormitory style with floor mattresses) or Camping Tents (Twin/Triple sharing).
- Washrooms: Common shared restrooms (Indian/Western mix). Hot water is limited.
Meals & Inclusions
- Food: 2 Breakfasts, 1 Packed Lunch (Rice Bath/Puliogare), and 1 Dinner (Buffet with Veg/Non-Veg options).
- Fees: Forest Department trekking permits included.
- Guide: Professional Trek Leads and local guides.
Himalayan Expedition (Land Package)
Accommodation & Gear
- Stay: Shared rooms in Guesthouse (Day 1) and Triple-sharing Alpine Tents (Trek days).
- Included Gear: Sleeping bags, sleeping mats, and tents provided.
- Excluded Gear: Personal items like trekking shoes, jackets, and walking poles must be rented separately.
Meals & Support
- Food: All meals during the trek (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner). Strictly Vegetarian and freshly cooked.
- Staff: Certified Mountaineering Trek Leader, Local Guide, and Kitchen Staff.
- Logistics: Mules/Porters carry central camping equipment. Personal backpack offloading costs extra.
Critical Exclusions
- Base Travel: Flight/Train to the base city (e.g., Dehradun) is NOT included.
- Transfers: Transport from the airport/station to the base camp is usually an additional shared cost.

Why I Love the Trail Life
When city life gets too loud, I just want to ditch my phone and hit a mountain trail. That’s basically why we started Backpackers United back in 2017 - to help others find that peace (and maybe a little chaos) in the wild. Ghumne nikal jao, seriously. Sometimes, all you need is a little mud on your shoes and good company.
What’s Included (So You Can Chill)
You won’t have to worry about logistics. I sort out:
- All transport from Bangalore (for weekend treks)
- Homestays or tents, depending on the vibe
- Simple meals that actually fill you up
- Forest entry permits
- Trek leads who know their stuff
- Basic first-aid (for those “oops” moments)

Most folks come alone and end up with new friends. Our group adventure trips are chill enough for beginners but still fun for people who trek more often. We get all kinds - solo travelers, first-timers, and groups who just want to get outside. Sometimes it’s awkward at first, but by the campfire, everyone’s laughing. Sach mai.
Treks for All Levels
- Weekend getaways from Bangalore: Beginner trekking in Western Ghats like Netravati Peak, Ettina Bhuja, or slightly tougher ones like Kudremukha.
- Himalayan trekking expeditions: If you want snow, we do winter treks like Kedarkantha from Dehradun.
- Sometimes there’s more than trekking - think jeep rides, waterfalls, random local food stops.
Safety & Real Talk
Yeah, we joke around on the trail (“just one more km!”), but I never mess around with safety. If the weather’s bad, we cancel. No trek is worth risking anyone’s safety.

My Story
We kicked off Backpackers United back in 2017, not just as a travel gig but as a family. Solo, couple, group - sab apne hain (everyone's one of us). We’ve had wild times, like that August when rain messed up all plans, but our people kept hoping. We hustled, made new routes, and boom, every trip was sold out. It’s never just about the places. It’s the bus madness, bonfire talks, and the BPU fam vibes.
