Documenting the Journey: From Bump to Baby
Your story does not stop at the maternity shoot. I love capturing the beautiful transition as your family grows, from those final, quiet weeks of waiting to the first smiles of your newborn.
This video shows the beautiful journey from a maternity session to a newborn shoot and a first birthday cake smash. I am here to capture every milestone as your family grows.
About The Story Continues: From Bump to Baby
If you are considering the Bump-to-Baby package, I recommend scheduling your maternity session between 28 and 32 weeks, while we aim for the newborn shoot within the first 15 days after birth. This timing ensures we capture the most comfortable poses for mom and those iconic, peaceful sleeping shots of your little one without any added stress.
Transitioning from a maternity shoot to a newborn session requires a special kind of patience and creative foresight. Having spent years in the VFX industry before picking up my camera, I bring a unique eye for detail to these sessions. It is not just about the lighting or the poses; it is about the emotional bridge between the last days of pregnancy and the very first days of meeting your child.
The Tahi Approach
In my Byculla studio, we create a space where you can relax. Whether we are capturing the anticipation in your maternity portraits or the tiny, delicate features of your baby, I focus on the connection you share.
Why the Timeline Matters
I suggest planning your sessions as a series.
- Maternity Phase: We focus on the 'glow' and your unique journey. 28-32 weeks is the sweet spot when the bump is perfectly prominent, and you are still feeling energetic.
- Newborn Phase: Once your little one arrives, those first two weeks are crucial. This is when babies are still naturally sleepy and curl up into those familiar, womb-like positions.
My goal is to make this process seamless. We discuss themes and props beforehand, so when you arrive at the studio, you do not have to worry about a thing. We simply focus on the joy of your growing family.
Tahi Photography
I am the one behind the lens at Tahi Photography, and I believe every shoot is a chance to welcome a new member into my TAHI family. Leaving my VFX career was the best decision I ever made because it lets me freeze the purest moments of life instead of editing them on a screen.
