A first birthday is a huge milestone. This session had it all: a dapper little man in a suit, a fun cake smash, and casual family photos in the park. We can plan a variety of setups to celebrate the big "ONE".
This pre-birthday shoot was so much fun. We started with some lovely family portraits in the park and ended with a messy, joyful cake smash. It’s the perfect way to capture the excitement of turning one.
For this little girl's first birthday photoshoot, we used a cute teepee and "ONE" blocks as props. An outdoor setting like this park allows for multiple outfit changes and setups to get a wide variety of adorable shots.

About Milestone & Birthday Celebrations
One practical detail about my milestone sessions is that toddlers are unpredictable, so I never rely on forced posing. We use bubble machines, their favorite toys, and plenty of patience to capture genuine expressions and movement, whether we are shooting inside my air-conditioned Ghatkopar studio or at a park in the Eastern Suburbs.
Every baby grows up too fast. My goal is to make sure you have a real memory of these fleeting stages, rather than just a staged photo.
Studio vs. Outdoor
Depending on the vibe you want, we have two distinct options. My Ghatkopar studio is perfect for controlled, timeless portraits. I keep the lighting consistent and the environment distraction-free, which works well for newborn or younger baby shoots where comfort is key. On the other hand, if your child is at an age where they love to run, jump, or play, an outdoor session in an Eastern Suburbs park offers a much more relaxed, candid atmosphere.
The Process
We do not rush. Whether it is a first birthday cake smash or a pre-birthday milestone, I allow enough time for the baby to settle in. My team and I carry props like marquee letters, miniature furniture, and bubble machines to keep the energy up and the child engaged.
Practicalities
- Weather: Paus aso or un aso (rain or shine), we do not cancel. We adapt our location or studio setup to ensure the shoot happens.
- Wardrobe: I provide costumes for babies in the studio, but for outdoor shoots, I recommend parents coordinate outfits in solid colors to keep the focus on the child.
- Delivery: You will receive your edited, skin-retouched images via a cloud link within 7 to 14 days.
