A first birthday is a huge milestone! This beach cake smash session was so much fun, combining a hot air balloon theme with playful candids of the birthday boy enjoying his cake by the sea.
A sitter session on the beach is perfect for capturing curious and playful toddlers. These twin boys had a wonderful time exploring the sand, playing with props, and just being their adorable selves.
Bath time sessions are always a hit with one-year-olds! The pure joy and laughter from these twin boys splashing in the tub made for some of my favorite, most authentic portraits.

About Kids & Milestone Sessions
Whether it is a messy cake smash or a quiet sitter session, my goal is to keep things stress-free for your child. I work around their mood, not the clock, so if we need to pause for a snack or a quick cuddle, we absolutely do. My studio in Andheri West is fully equipped with vintage props, crates, and textured backdrops, but if you prefer the outdoors, we can plan the shoot at a quiet Mumbai park during the golden hour to get that soft, natural light.
Celebrating Every Small Step
Your child changes every single day. A six-month sitter session captures that glorious phase when they are finally sitting up, curious about everything, and smiling at their own reflection. Fast forward a few months, and we are celebrating the big one—the first birthday.
My Approach to Cake Smash and Sitter Sessions
A cake smash is not just about the mess; it is about discovery. Some kids dive right in, while others approach the cake with hesitation. I document both reactions with the same love.
- Themes and Styling: I provide the props, crates, balloons, and outfits. We can go for a rustic look, a classic clean white setup, or something colorful and vibrant.
- Comfort is Key: I never rush a baby. If your little one gets overwhelmed, we take a break. My studio is designed to be a safe, quiet space for these sessions.
- The Splish-Splash Finale: After the cake smash, I always include a mini bath splash session. It is the perfect way to get those clean, giggly shots and it helps wash off the cake.
Choosing the Right Time
- Sitter Sessions: Best scheduled when your baby is steady sitting, usually between 6 to 9 months.
- First Birthday: We can do this on their actual birthday or a few weeks prior so you have the prints ready to display at the party.
I do not just hand over a digital folder. We work together to create beautiful coffee table books and canvas prints that become a permanent part of your home decor, reminding you of these tiny, precious days whenever you walk past them.
