About On-Location & Lifestyle
I treat on-location shoots as a team sport, not a solo mission. When we move out of the studio, I bring a production assistant to handle the logistics, such as lights, modifiers, and flags, so we can chase the light rather than fighting with equipment. This allows me to focus on framing those candid, moody moments that turn a simple background into a high-fashion narrative.
When we leave the studio, we trade controlled environments for atmospheric storytelling. Whether it is an industrial space for a menswear campaign or a lush garden for a portrait session, the environment becomes a character in your brand story.
My approach to on-location work is built on preparation. I bring a 4K hybrid setup, including Sony Alpha and FX3 cameras, along with professional gimbals and a portable LED lighting kit. This means I can move quickly, capture dynamic motion, and switch between high-resolution stills and social-first video without losing time.
Here is how we get the best result on location:
- Scouting & Logistics: I analyze locations beforehand for light quality and texture. If you have a specific venue in mind, I scout it for potential angles and shadow play.
- Technical Adaptability: I handle all color grading and post-production to ensure that even raw urban settings match the specific 'Studio X' vibrant or cinematic tone.
- Collaborative Effort: For larger shoots, I bring a production assistant to manage the gear, ensuring the subjects are always framed perfectly regardless of the setting.
