About Ethnic & Festive Couture
My approach to ethnic couture is rarely about just the outfit. It is about the collaboration. On these shoots, I coordinate with the stylists and makeup artists to ensure the mood, whether it is the royalty of a vintage portrait or the vibrancy of a festive collection, feels intentional. We focus heavily on color grading during post-production to keep the jewelry and textile textures sharp while maintaining that cinematic depth.
Behind the Visuals
When shooting ethnic wear, the biggest challenge is preserving the depth of fabric and the intricate detail of jewelry. I utilize a 4K hybrid camera setup with professional LED lighting to capture textures that often get lost in standard photography. Whether we are shooting in a heritage location in Delhi or a controlled studio environment, the goal remains the same: create imagery that stands out in a crowded digital space.
The Production Process
Every campaign I lead involves:
- Creative Consultation: We start by aligning on the visual language. I don't just take photos; I help build the narrative arc for your lookbook or ad film.
- Team Assembly: I act as a bridge between the client and the creative team. I work with stylists, models, and MUAs to ensure every element, from the 'potli' bag to the headpiece, is positioned to perfection.
- Post-Production: The final look is defined by color grading. I apply 'Studio X' tones to give your collection a polished, cinematic finish that works for both Instagram reels and print editorials.
