Our Garden Landscaping Process: From Dirt to Design
We don't just plant grass. See the step-by-step work that goes into transforming a neglected yard or plot into a sustainable green space.
Before the transformation: a cluttered and unused space at the bottom of a staircase. This is the starting point for a new pathway and garden.
The ground has been cleared, and I've started laying out the first few stepping stones to plan the new walkway.
The stone pavers for the pathway are now laid out. The next step is to fill the surrounding area with soil and grass.
My team member is installing rolls of fresh grass turf around the newly laid stepping stones, carefully fitting them into place.
The process of laying turf continues. We water the area as we go to help the new grass establish itself quickly.
A look at the pathway taking shape, with sections of grass being added along the edges of the stone pavers.
The turf installation is progressing up the path. This method ensures a seamless and professional finish.
The finished pathway, viewed from the top of the stairs. The combination of stone and lush grass has completely transformed this once-neglected area.

About The Process: From Dirt to Design
The secret to a long-lasting garden isn't just the plants; it is the two days of preparation work we do before laying anything down. We clear all debris, grade the land to ensure proper water drainage, and layer red soil mixed with organic manure. If you skip this, the grass won't take root, and your garden will be patchy within months.
How We Build Your Garden
Many people focus on the final look, but we know the result is only as good as the foundation. Here is how we typically handle a full landscape project in Bengaluru:
1. Site Clearing & Soil Prep We start by removing old weeds, loose stones, and debris. This is the hardest part of the job, but it is necessary. Once the area is clean, we bring in fresh red soil (Chemman) and mix it with organic manure to create a nutrient-rich base for the turf or plants.
2. Leveling & Drainage Water logging is the biggest enemy of a Bangalore garden. We manually grade the ground, creating subtle slopes so rainwater flows toward your drains rather than pooling around your foundation or walls.
3. Hardscaping & Pathways If your design includes stone paths, we install these before the grass. Whether it is granite slabs or stepping stones, we set them on a sand or mortar bed to prevent wobbling. We space them to match a natural walking stride, ensuring they are level with the lawn for easy mowing.
4. The Final Layer Only after the hardscape is set do we roll out the Mexican Carpet Grass or Bermuda grass. We fit the rolls tightly, gap-free, and roll the ground to ensure the roots bond with the soil. We do not use complex irrigation systems unless requested, so we design the layout to be as self-sustaining as possible.
Why Process Matters
We see gardens that look great for a week and then wither. Our focus is on sustainability. By spending time on the soil quality and drainage, we ensure that your space stays green and usable year-round, rather than just looking good for the photos.
