Traditional Ethnic Wear for Kids in Bengaluru
Finding traditional outfits that kids will actually keep on can be a challenge. I design comfortable, custom ethnic wear for your little ones that looks grand but feels soft enough for a full day of festivities.
Happy birthday to my lovely daughter. Here she is, looking like a little princess in a traditional half saree I designed for her. The red, gold, and lavender combination is just thumba chennagide (very nice).
About this collection
When I design for kids, my focus is comfort first. I use soft cotton linings and skin-friendly fabrics because I know how itchy heavy embroidery can be for them. You will get a beautiful, grand-looking outfit that stays comfortable through long weddings or pujas, so your child can enjoy the habba without any fuss.
Kids grow fast and rarely fit perfectly into off-the-shelf sizes, and most shop-bought clothes are heavy with scratchy lining. That is exactly why I started offering custom kids' ethnic wear. Whether you need a langa voni for a wedding or a silk kurta for a festival, everything is made-to-measure to ensure they look their best without feeling restricted.
The Process
We start by discussing the event. Is it a long day at a wedding or a quick puja? I pick fabrics that are breathable, like soft silk blends, and always pair them with breathable cotton lining. This ensures the outfit is light enough for them to run around in.
Styles and Customization
- Girls: I design everything from classic half sarees to lehenga sets, often matching the mother's outfit if requested.
- Boys: I make traditional silk kurtas with comfortable, soft-finished collars and stitched dhotis that are easy to manage.
- Closures: I keep closures simple—zippers or soft hooks—so changing is easy for parents.
If you have a specific colour theme for the family event, I can coordinate your child’s outfit to match yours perfectly. I am based in Naagarabhaavi, Bengaluru, but I work with families across India. Just share the measurements, and I will handle the rest.
Astha Designer Boutique
Hi, I’m Shruthi. I started making kids' outfits because I noticed so many parents struggling to find traditional clothes that their children would actually wear comfortably. Making your little ones look like little princes and princesses for functions is genuinely my favourite part of the day.
