Saree to Gown Transformation
Design & Construction
- Consultation: Expert advice on motif placement to utilize the Pallu for the yoke or sleeves effectively.
- Silhouette: Custom creation of Anarkali, Box-pleated, or Umbrella cut styles based on saree length.
- Sleeve Detailing: Includes complex patterns like Puff sleeves, Bell sleeves, or Elbow-length bridal cuts.
Technical Specs & Materials
- Dual Lining: Premium Taffeta or Santoon for shine plus a pure Cotton inner layer for skin comfort.
- Volume Enhancement: Installation of hard net Can-Can mesh underneath the flare for shape.
- Structure: Padded bodice with high-quality cups and canvas fusing for a stiff, wrinkle-free neckline.
- Finishing: Invisible zipper, overlocking, and optional horsehair braid at the hemline.
Exclusions
- Extra fabric for larger flares and hand embroidery (Maggam/Zardosi) are charged separately.
Saree to Lehenga & Blouse Set
Garment Components
- Lehenga Skirt: Transformation into a heavy flair skirt (Box pleated, Knife pleated, or Kalidar) with a heavy canvas waistband.
- Designer Blouse: Custom stitched padded blouse using the Pallu, including neck designs like potli buttons or keyholes.
- Dupatta Work: Edging/piping of a client-provided dupatta or repurposing remaining fabric into a half-saree drape.
Materials & Add-ons
- Structural Support: Heavy duty Can-Can and canvas lining attached to the skirt for volume.
- Lining: Color-matched Crepe or Cotton lining included for both skirt and blouse.
- Decoratives: Handmade fabric Latkans (tassels) created from scrap fabric for the blouse back and waist dori.
- Finishing: Piping on neckline and sleeves for contrast.

- Price covers patterned blouse cuts. Hand embroidery is charged separately.
Mother & Daughter Matching Combo
Scope of Work
- Fabric Engineering: Strategic cutting of a single 6-yard saree to produce two outfits while preserving Zari borders for both.
- Outfit 1 (Mother): Complete Indo-Western Gown or Anarkali including lining, padding, and can-can mesh.
- Outfit 2 (Daughter - Upto 5 Yrs): Creation of a matching Pattu Pavadai (Long skirt & Top) or a mini-Gown.
Kid's Outfit Specifics
- Comfort Lining: 100% soft cotton inner lining mandated to prevent silk irritation.
- Growth Margin: Extra margin inside the stitching to allow for height/size adjustments over 1-2 years.
- Safety: Concealed zippers and soft edging to prevent scratching.
Note
- If saree fabric is insufficient for an older child, additional matching brocade will be charged at actuals.

How It Works
You bring your saree, we sit down and talk about what you want. Maybe you imagine an upcycled saree gown for your big event, or a cool lehenga from old saree for festive functions. The process is super collaborative - I want your outfit to feel totally YOU, but still hold onto the nostalgia.

- Indo-Western gowns with your saree’s zari or brocade featured in the sleeves or bodice
- Lehengas, half sarees, pleated skirts, crop tops - all crafted from the original saree
- Matching saree outfits for mother and child (I swear, this is always a hit for photos!)
- If you’re up for something different, I can paint Tanjore-inspired art right onto your new piece. It's wearable art, not just clothing.
The Sparkle
I can add zardosi, beadwork, sequins - depends on how much jazz you want. Some sarees look best with minimal touches, some can handle extra bling. We’ll figure it out together.
