The Art of Resin: Behind the Scenes of My Creation Process

People say, 'Hey, I could do this.' But behind every pour lies hours of digital planning, precise chemistry, and patience. Here is how I turn simple resin into a sanctuary.

People often say, "Hey, I could do this," but it's so much more than just pouring resin. This video gives a quick glimpse into my process, from designing the calligraphy on the computer to carefully painting and pouring to achieve that perfect finish.

About The Artisan's Process

Achieving that glass-like finish is not just about mixing resin, it is about humidity control, dust management, and the patience to wait for the perfect cure. One air bubble or a slight mix error can ruin a piece, which is why I treat every pour as a meditative practice. If you see me getting it right, know that there were probably a few experiments that did not make the final cut.

My process usually starts on a computer screen, where I lay out the calligraphy to ensure it flows perfectly with the dimensions of your chosen plaque or stand. Once the design is set, the real work begins. I mix the epoxy resin with high-grade pigments, often layering in geode textures with gold leaf or crushed glass to add depth.

The hardest part is the wait. Resin needs the right environment to cure, away from dust and extreme temperature changes. Whether it is a Quran stand or a Nikkah tray, I spend hours finishing the edges, ensuring the crystals are set perfectly, and giving the final product a high-gloss finish that lasts for years.

I often share these videos not to show off, but to demonstrate that this is not a mass-produced item. When you order from The Chosen One Studio, you are getting a piece that was physically worked on by hand in my Mumbai studio. Whether you are looking for specific Islamic wall art or a custom prayer hamper, understanding the process helps you appreciate why these pieces become family keepsakes.
