About Sufi-Inspired Canvas Paintings
While my work is often associated with resin, these canvas pieces are a different form of meditation for me. Working in a triptych format allows me to capture the motion of the whirling dervish across panels, creating a sense of rhythm that a single frame simply cannot hold. Each piece is hand-painted in acrylics, giving me the freedom to layer the Arabic calligraphy directly into the dervish's movement, which feels much more fluid than my resin pour work.
When I pick up the brush for these paintings, it isn't just about decor; it is about capturing that 'dance of the soul' I often speak about. I use deep, moody palettes—often relying on indigos and whites—to ensure the calligraphy stands out as the focal point.
Why Choose Canvas Over Resin?
My resin art is about high-gloss finishes and durable, crystal-clear layers. These acrylic paintings, however, are about texture and emotion. They are lighter to hang and offer a matte finish that works beautifully in living rooms, meditation corners, or prayer spaces.
Customization Details
Everything you see here is a starting point. If you have a specific verse from the Quran or a Sufi quote that resonates with your family, I can integrate that into the painting.
- Calligraphy Style: I work with various scripts to ensure the text flows naturally with the dervish silhouette.
- Sizing: From standard wall-hanging sizes to large-scale statement pieces, we can adjust the canvas dimensions to fit your wall space.
- Shipping: Whether you are here in Mumbai or anywhere across the globe, I handle the packaging personally to ensure the canvas arrives in perfect condition.
If you are looking for a piece that feels less like furniture and more like a quiet conversation, these canvas works are likely what you are looking for.
