About Portraits in Watercolor, Gouache & More
These aren't digital prints or machine-made replicas. I hand-paint every portrait on high-density 300 GSM paper to ensure the colours stay rich and the paper doesn't warp over time. Whether you choose the soft, dreamy finish of watercolor or the opaque, vibrant pop of gouache, every single stroke is done layer by layer, specifically for you.
When you commission a portrait, you aren't just getting an image on paper. You are getting hours of layering, blending, and attention to detail.
Why Watercolor and Gouache?
I love using watercolor for that soft, romantic, and airy look—perfect for couples or a calm, serene moment. If you want something with a bit more punch and vibrance, gouache is the way to go. It gives a solid, illustrative finish that stands out on the wall.
The Process
It starts with you sending me a photo. I don't just copy the pixels; I sketch the composition, choosing the right paper size (A5, A4, or A3) based on the subjects. I use 300 GSM cold-press paper because it handles the water and pigment without buckling, making your artwork durable enough to frame. Once the painting is dry, I pack it carefully in a rigid mailer to make sure it reaches you crisp and clean, whether you are in Delhi or anywhere else in India.

Whether you want a portrait of your favourite Bollywood actor, a sketch of a loved one, or a stylized couple illustration for an anniversary, the goal is always the same: a gift that actually means something.
