I believe art is the best way to connect with our traditions. In my classes, we paint diyas for Diwali, draw kites for Makar Sankranti, and make Christmas crafts, turning every festival into a colourful, creative memory.

About Festival & Celebration Art

In these sessions, we do not just draw symbols; we practice memory drawing to capture the actual feeling of the festival. Whether it is the glow of a diya or the movement of a kite, I guide students to observe their surroundings and put that emotion onto paper, rather than just copying images. This helps children develop their own perspective and confidence instead of worrying about drawing perfectly.

My festival-themed workshops are about more than just craft; they are about understanding the stories behind the celebrations.

How We Celebrate Through Art

  • Memory Drawing: For festivals like Diwali and Makar Sankranti, we focus on observation. I ask students to recall how the diyas look in their homes or how the sky changes when kites are flying, translating those memories into their own compositions.
  • Material Exploration: We use a variety of materials to make art tactile. You will see us using cotton to create fluffy beards for Santa, recycled materials for 3D snowman cards, and oil pastels to capture the vibrant colours of rangoli.
  • Technical Skills: While we have fun, we also build foundational art skills. We work on human figures in action—like children playing with firecrackers—and focus on composition, so the final artwork tells a complete story.

Who This Is For

These workshops are designed for children who want to get messy and creative. We keep the groups small (4-6 students), so every child gets the attention they need to complete their project. If you are looking for a screen-free space where your child can learn about Indian culture and seasonal traditions through hands-on art, this is the place to be. We are currently based in Mulund and welcome kids of all skill levels to join our festive sessions.
