Let’s celebrate festivals like Diwali, Holi, and Christmas by creating something unique. In my seasonal sessions, kids learn to express their joy through paintings, crafts, and handmade gifts that capture the festive spirit.

Nothing says Christmas like painting Santa! In this watercolor class, my young artists learned blending and detailing techniques to create these jolly portraits. It’s always a festive favorite that brings so much joy.

Get ready for the holidays with this simple tutorial for an origami Santa. This is a great example of the fun paper crafts we do, which are perfect for developing fine motor skills and creating charming decorations for your home.

Pop-up cards are a magical way to surprise someone. This video shows a beautiful winter wonderland card we made. I teach the simple paper engineering techniques that make these 3D creations possible for kids to master.

Watch the process of bringing a cozy Christmas bear to life with pencil colors. I guide students through layering and shading techniques to add depth and texture, making their drawings pop right off the page.

A glimpse into the wonderful creations from our winter art camp. The kids painted everything from cheerful reindeer to snowy night landscapes on canvas, exploring different acrylic painting techniques along the way.

The Christmas spirit was in full swing in my art class! This collage shows my students proudly displaying their holiday-themed artwork. It’s a time of year filled with creative energy and festive fun.

Here's a little peek at all the festive fun we have during the Christmas season. From painting ornaments to crafting decorations, my classes are filled with holiday cheer and creativity.

On the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, I created this watercolor tribute to Shri Hanumanji. My classes often explore cultural and spiritual themes, allowing children to connect with their heritage through art.

To celebrate Independence Day, we took on an ambitious project: sketching and painting the magnificent Taj Mahal. This activity teaches perspective, detail, and patience, resulting in a piece of art they can be truly proud of.

My students celebrated Republic Day by creating beautiful artwork with an India theme. They incorporated national symbols like the peacock and the flag, expressing their patriotism through colors and creativity.

About Festive & Seasonal Creations

For these festive sessions, I keep the materials simple yet effective, like watercolors for vibrant rangoli patterns or clay for Valentine’s Day bouquets. My focus is on the process, so children learn to blend colors and build 3D structures without the pressure of achieving perfection. Whether it’s a Santa portrait for Christmas or a spinner card for Holi, these projects are designed to build confidence while creating keepsakes you’ll actually want to display at home.

Whether it is the vibrant colors of Holi or the cozy vibes of Christmas, seasonal art allows children to connect with traditions through their own creative lens. At my Khar West studio, we do not just paint; we explore the cultural significance behind every celebration.

For Diwali, we might sketch Mandala Rangolis, focusing on symmetry and precise line work. For Independence Day, we take on architectural sketches of monuments like the Taj Mahal, teaching kids the patience of layering and outlining with waterproof markers. It is not about making a perfect replica of a holiday card; it is about the storytelling.

When we make Rakhi or Valentine’s Day gifts, kids learn the joy of gifting something handmade. We use a mix of media: pop-up paper engineering for winter wonderland cards, clay molding for heart bouquets, and origami for ornaments. These projects improve fine motor skills and spatial awareness. For older students, we add technical depth, like shading and perspective, which helps them during their elementary and intermediate state art exams. These workshops are a fantastic way to break the monotony of schoolwork while keeping the festive excitement alive.

Hi, I am Uttara. I believe art should be a celebration of joy, especially during the festive season. I love guiding kids as they transform simple materials into memories that last long after the festival ends.
