About Hand-Painted Madhubani Bookmarks

I use 300 GSM acid-free watercolor paper for every bookmark, ensuring the colors stay vibrant long after you finish your book. Each piece is sealed with a protective fixative spray, so you never have to worry about smudging while you flip through pages.

Art isn't just for walls. I believe it should be part of the quiet moments you spend with a book. When I sit down to paint these bookmarks, I focus on the intricate line work of Madhubani—a traditional style that tells stories through motifs. Whether it is a fish representing prosperity, an owl for wisdom, or the Tree of Life for growth, each bookmark carries a specific intention.

Everything you see here is drawn by hand, directly on the paper without any digital stencils or prints. I spend hours on each piece, layering vibrant acrylics and inks to ensure the design pops against the page. Because I paint each one to order, we can even discuss incorporating specific colors or themes that resonate with your personal reading collection. These make thoughtful, small gifts for fellow book lovers or a treat for your own library. If you are looking for a specific motif or want to pair a bookmark with a larger painting, just reach out.
