Sculptures of Power & Grace: Horses & Hawks
These textured, deep-relief sculptures bring the raw energy of horses and the majestic spirit of hawks into your living space, crafted from upcycled paper and rough diamonds.
This video shows the complete journey of "The seven gallivanting horses," a large-scale commission. It was a creative puzzle to balance the client's vision of 3D and painted horses, resulting in a dynamic piece that brings immense energy to their home.
The installation of the seven horses painting is always a breathtaking moment. Seeing a piece this large finally mounted and transforming a space is the most rewarding part of the process.
Creating this 8x5 foot piece was a challenge that took me out of my comfort zone. In 50 days, I balanced 3D sculpted horses with painted ones to create this unique artwork, and it was totally worth it.
My art is something I can always hold on to. Here I am with the seven horses, a piece that represents my creative path of choosing, evolving, and rediscovering myself.
A moment of happiness with the completed seven horses painting. This piece is a testament to finding joy and purpose in my creative journey.
Do you feel the painting come alive? The mix of 2D painting and 3D sculpture in this piece invites you to reach out and connect with the energy of the horses.
A playful moment with my creation. The horses feel so real to me after spending so much time bringing them to life, each with its own personality.
The texture of the sculpted horses adds a tactile dimension that makes the artwork feel dynamic and alive, as if they could gallop right off the canvas.
"The Eternal Flight," a sculpture inspired by the limitless rise of the Middle East. Its wings, crafted from upcycled paper and rough diamonds, carry the weight of dreams and quiet courage.
Here is "The Eternal Flight" visualized in a modern living space. This piece is designed to be a focal point, symbolizing ambition and a connection to one's roots.
About Sculptures of Power & Grace: Horses & Hawks
When I create large-scale pieces like my horse series, the process is a delicate balance of 50 days of layering textures to capture movement. Because these are deep-relief sculptures, I personally oversee the mounting or provide detailed installation guidance to your team to ensure the shadow play is perfect on your wall.
Bringing Power and Grace Home
My horse and hawk series are born from a fascination with strength, freedom, and the symbolic power these animals hold in Middle Eastern culture. I use upcycled paper pulp as a base, molding it into 3D forms that interact with the light in your room. This means the artwork shifts throughout the day, creating new shadows and depths as the sun moves across your walls.
The Materials and Process
Each piece begins as a quiet conversation between me and the material. I use a mix of:
- Upcycled paper pulp: Sculpted to create organic, touchable texture.
- Rough diamonds: Embedded into the surface to catch the light and add a touch of raw, natural luxury.
- WPC or reinforced plywood: Providing a sturdy backing for large-scale installations.
Whether it is the 'The Eternal Flight' hawk or my 'Seven Horses' series, these works are designed to be focal points. They are not just static paintings; they are sculptural elements that breathe life into a room.
Installation and Care
Because these pieces feature deep 3D ridges, they require a specific approach to hanging. If you are in the Mumbai area, I personally oversee the installation to ensure the piece is positioned to catch the best light. For projects across India or internationally, I provide detailed technical drawings and remote guidance so your local team can mount the artwork safely. Each piece arrives in a custom-built wooden crate to protect the texture during transit and includes a signed certificate of authenticity.
