Butterfly and Nature Wall Sculptures
I create custom butterfly-themed metal installations that bring the dynamic energy of nature into your home, blending polycarbonate with hand-folded stainless steel.

About Wings of Hope: Butterfly & Nature Installations
These pieces are not just static decor; they are designed to catch the light from your specific room orientation. When you reach out, we can discuss the exact finish—whether you prefer a high-mirror polish or a subtle matte—to ensure the piece harmonizes perfectly with your wall color and interior lighting.
The 'Wings of Hope' series explores the contrast between the cold, industrial nature of stainless steel and the delicate, organic form of a butterfly. My process begins with hand-folding SS 304 sheet metal, a technique that allows me to create organic, fluid shapes without using stamped molds. This ensures every piece has a unique silhouette and depth.
Materiality and Light
I combine these metal structures with polycarbonate butterfly wings. Polycarbonate captures light differently than metal, creating a translucent, layered effect that changes as you walk past the artwork. When placed on a feature wall, the interplay of shadows cast by the wings adds a third dimension, making the sculpture feel as though it is in constant motion.
Practical Considerations for Your Home
- Installation: For large-scale wall art, I use concealed aluminum cleavage rails or standoff bolts. This gives the sculpture a 'floating' appearance, separating it slightly from the wall so that depth and shadow can develop.
- Customization: I work directly with your interior designer or architect regarding weight-bearing specifications. Whether you are looking for a compact 3ft foyer piece or a massive 13ft installation for a living room, I calibrate the internal structural ribbing accordingly.
- Durability: Every piece is finished with automotive-grade coatings or high-mirror No. 8 polish, ensuring the work remains resistant to humidity and environmental wear over time.
My goal is to provide art that invites contemplation. Whether it is the 'Wings of Resilience' series or a custom commission based on your vision, I want the piece to feel like a living part of your home architecture.
