Ever wonder how a blank canvas becomes a piece of textured wall art? Step inside my studio and see the messy, hands-on journey of my sculpting and painting process.

Here I am in my element, focused on the tiny details of a new 3D artwork. This is where my ideas start to take physical form, one brushstroke at a time.

This video captures my journey of learning to sculpt. I believe an artist never stops becoming, and exploring new mediums like clay teaches me patience, shape, and the joy of being a student again.

People often think abstract art is easy, but it's far from it. This video shows the process of building up textures with a palette knife, where every scrape and stroke must be intentional to create a balanced composition.

A look at the process of creating a wire armature and applying clay to form a sculpture. This was from a workshop where I stepped out of my comfort zone to learn new techniques.

Here I am sculpting a scrunchie from clay, a fun exercise in capturing soft, folded forms in a solid medium. It's all about observing everyday objects and translating them into art.

The process of making a mold for a sculpture. I'm pouring plaster into a clay mold, a crucial step in being able to replicate a sculpted form.

Adding fine details to a clay relief sculpture of a bird. I'm using a small tool to carve patterns and textures, bringing the simple form to life.

A finished clay piece from my sculpting workshop. This wavy pot with a small bee is an example of coil building, a fundamental pottery technique.

Building the wire skeleton, or armature, for a new sculpture. This provides the internal structure and support before any clay is applied.

Life lately has been about tackling big projects. Here I am on a ladder, sketching out a huge mandala design directly onto a wall for a large-scale commission.

About Behind the Art: My Studio & Process

You don't get a final piece from me without seeing it first. I start every custom order by creating a physical 6x6 inch sample. This way, you can touch the actual texture, test the color against your wall, and be completely confident before I ever touch a brush to the main canvas.
