Commissioned Architectural Sketches and Art Awards
A collection of my professional journey, from architectural commissions that capture history to awards that humbled me. Art is more than just paper; it is a conversation with the past.
An architectural sketch of Ramon House, where HDFC Limited began. This was my first time doing architectural rendering, and the challenge was to recreate the vintage look of the 1990s.
The final drawing of Sicka Nagar, a historic area in Mumbai. This piece was loved by the client for its vintage feel and soothing tonal quality.
An architectural sketch of Tutorial High School, drawn in a formal one-point perspective to capture its vintage look for the HDFC legacy project.
I was so happy and grateful to be awarded a scholarship from Kalaarambh, selected from over 3,000 entries.

About Commissioned Work & Achievements
Creating architectural sketches for the HDFC Legacy Centre pushed my technical limits. Since I did not have access to original building plans or elevations, I had to physically visit these sites to study their perspective and light. Bringing that 1990s vintage look to life required blending historical research with the pencil techniques I learned from my mentor, Sadashiv Sir.
When I take on a commission, whether it is a portrait or an architectural rendering, I look for the story beneath the surface. The HDFC Legacy Centre project was a major milestone for me. It was not just about drawing buildings like Ramon House or Tutorial High School; it was about recreating the atmosphere of 1990s Mumbai. Because I did not have access to blueprints, I relied on on-site observations and careful study of the architectural elements to ensure every perspective was accurate.
This process taught me the importance of sciography—the study of shadow projection—and how light dictates the mood of a drawing. Each stroke was a lesson in patience, guided by the techniques I have honed over years of practice and the mentorship of Sadashiv Sir at Pencil Perceptions.
Beyond commercial work, I find profound joy in recognition from the art community. Being awarded a scholarship from Kalaarambh, selected from over 3,000 entries, was a moment of pure gratitude. Similarly, exhibiting my piece 'The Mountain Dream' at the Anantyam Qala Gallery in Hyderabad helped me connect with other artists and enthusiasts.
Whether it is capturing the vintage charm of Sicka Nagar or winning an award, my goal remains the same: to create work that feels alive. If you are looking for custom art commissions, architectural renderings, or just want to discuss how we can turn a vision into a pencil drawing, let’s talk. I believe every project, big or small, deserves that dedicated time and attention to detail. ।। श्री कृष्ण सदा सहायते ।। (Shri Krishna is always there to help).
