Fish Oil & Multivitamin Lab Test Results
Are your daily supplements actually delivering what the label promises? I buy popular vitamins and fish oils from the market just like you do, send them for blind NABL lab testing, and show you the raw, unfiltered results.
This is a major scam. BBetter Omega 3 Fish Oil, an Amazon bestseller, claims 180mg EPA and 120mg DHA. My lab test found only 1mg of each. This product massively fails to deliver on its core promise.
Nirvasa's Triple Strength Fish Oil is incredibly cheap, but you get what you pay for. It claims 560mg EPA and 400mg DHA, but my tests found less than 8mg of each. This is a complete failure and a waste of money.
I tested Nveda Omega-3 capsules and the lab found no detectable levels of EPA or DHA, despite the claims on the bottle. This product is essentially just oil in a capsule with none of the advertised benefits.
Himalayan Organics Vitamin C failed my tests on two fronts. It contained only 18-22mg of Vitamin C instead of the claimed 80mg, and it had cadmium levels above the safe limit. This product is both inaccurate and unsafe.
HealthyHey's Magnesium supplement, an Amazon number one seller, failed my heavy metal test. While the magnesium content was accurate, it contained arsenic levels above the safe limit, making it a failed product.
Nutrabay's Triple Strength Fish Oil passed all five levels of my testing. The EPA and DHA content was accurate, it was not rancid, and it was free from heavy metals, aflatoxins, and pesticides, earning its certification.
I tested MuscleBlaze's standard fish oil capsules. The product passed all my tests, with EPA and DHA levels exceeding the label claim and no signs of rancidity or unsafe heavy metal levels. A certified product.
Naturaltein's Triple Strength Omega 3 passed all my safety and accuracy tests, with EPA and DHA content verified by the lab. It's a certified product, though its price is on the expensive side.
MuscleNectar's Triple Strength Omega 3 passed all three levels of my testing. The EPA and DHA content was accurate, it was not rancid, and it was free from unsafe levels of heavy metals, making it a certified product.
What is the best time to take your multivitamin? I explain that consistency is most important, but taking it with a meal containing healthy fats can improve the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.
About Vitamins, Fish Oil & Health Essentials
Checking the label on your fish oil bottle isn't enough because many popular 'bestsellers' fail to provide even a fraction of the EPA and DHA they promise. I have tested brands where the lab found next to nothing, exposing a massive gap between marketing claims and actual product quality. Don't blindly trust e-commerce star ratings—trust the lab report before you commit.
How I Test Your Essentials
When I pick a vitamin or fish oil product, I buy it from the market just like any consumer. No brand samples, no sponsorships. I send these units to NABL-accredited labs to check for the things that actually matter.
The Common Traps
- EPA/DHA Accuracy: For fish oil, the most expensive part is the Omega-3 content. Many brands inflate these numbers on the label. I test whether you are getting what you paid for or just expensive, low-quality oil.
- Rancidity: Fish oil goes bad if not processed correctly. If a product smells like a dumpster, it is already oxidized. I check for rancidity levels to ensure you aren't consuming spoiled product.
- Heavy Metals: This is the non-negotiable part. I screen for lead, arsenic, mercury, and cadmium. Even if the vitamin content is accurate, if the heavy metals exceed safety limits, the product is a hard fail.
- Label Inaccuracy: Many multivitamins promise high doses of minerals that are completely missing or chemically inactive. I verify the label claims against the raw lab data.
Why 'Pass' Matters
When you see a product labeled as 'Trustified Passed,' it means it cleared the hurdles. It met the label claims for vitamins, had no dangerous rancidity, and stayed within safety limits for heavy metals. If a brand fails, it’s not just about the price—it’s about your long-term health. Don't fall for the 'natural' tag or influencer hype. Check the report, read the data, and make an informed choice.
