Behind the decks: My approach to the perfect set
Every performance is a different story, and this is where I write the script. From studio edits to late-night club takeovers, here is a look at the energy I bring to the booth.
Being an open-format DJ for nine years has been a delight. It lets me experiment with different sounds every time I perform, and I feel like I've barely started.
In the studio, where the magic happens. I'm an MP3 mixologist, carefully blending ingredients to create the perfect sonic cocktail.
A candid black and white shot capturing a moment of pure joy behind the decks. This is what it looks like when you truly love what you do.
A shot capturing the connection with the crowd. That fist bump is a moment of shared energy between me and someone on the dance floor.
A quick look at a special night I curated at 145 Cafe & Bar, a venue that holds a special place in my heart.
Sometimes you have to take a risk and drop a track no one expects. When it pays off and the crowd loves it, that's the best feeling.
Just having fun with the crowd at one8 Commune. A good DJ knows how to be the life of the party.
A typical Saturday night with me at Baglami Bombay. The vibe is always on point.

I'm the best MP3 dealer in the business. Taking over your favourite nightclub with tracks you won't hear anywhere else.
About From My Perspective
When you book a set, I don't just show up and press play. I am picky about the venue's hardware, and I need industry-standard CDJ-2000s or 3000s plus a proper mixer to pull off the transitions you hear in my edits. It is a technical detail, but it is the difference between a seamless mix and a sound glitch that kills the energy on the floor.
People call me an MP3 dealer, but it is really about reading the room. Whether I am at Slink and Bardot or throwing down at a private event, the goal is the same: keeping the crowd guessing.
My Sound, My Rules
My sets are not linear. I mix Afro-House rhythms with Bolly-Tech edits, then switch it up with 2000s hip-hop gems. If you have never heard a Bollywood track get a proper techno treatment, you are missing out. I spend hours in the studio designing proprietary edits, stuff you will not hear on a standard radio loop.
The Technical Side
I keep it plug and play. I bring my USBs and my headphones, but the venue's infrastructure is my lifeline. For the high-energy sets I deliver, I require venues to have reliable Pioneer CDJ setups. It is not just about the gear, it is about the sound engineering. If the monitors are weak, I cannot hear the micro-adjustments I make in the mix.
Why It Works
I do not play to a timer, I play to the energy. If the dance floor is heating up at 1:00 AM, that is when I drop the risky tracks. My experience as a Mumbai DJ has taught me one thing: the crowd wants chaos, but they want it organized. That is why I do what I do.
