About Behind The Decks
I don't just hit play on a playlist. Every set I perform involves precise live mixing on my Pioneer controller, matching the energy of the room in real-time, whether that's a Deep House warm-up or high-tempo Bolly-Tech for the peak hours.
When you see me on stage, you are seeing the result of hours of preparation in the studio. I am not a background music DJ; I am there to command the room. My setup typically involves a professional Pioneer DDJ or CDJ rig, depending on the venue, and I always arrive at least 45 minutes early for a soundcheck.
The Technical Setup
I bring my own MacBook Pro with a library fully optimized in Serato and Rekordbox. For larger festival stages, I sync custom 4K visual loops to the venue’s LED walls, ensuring the music and visuals hit at the same time. If the venue supports it, I coordinate with the sound engineer for SFX like CO2, pyro, and confetti to match the biggest drops in my mashups.
My Mixing Process
My sets are a progression. I start with Deep House or Retro vibes to set the mood, then transition into my signature Bolly-Tech and Punjabi commercial blends once the energy peaks. I am constantly on the mic, handling MC duties, making announcements, and hyping the crowd—Sab log haath upar!
Travel and Logistics
While I am based in Bangalore, I travel frequently across India for college fests, destination weddings, and club nights. For festival sets, I work off a CDJ 2000 NXS2 setup.
