Private Residences & Courtyard Designs
We design homes where luxury is simple, functional, and deeply connected to nature. Our approach integrates indoor living spaces with serene courtyards to create an ocean of calm within your private residence.
For this farmhouse by the backwaters, the infinity pool and patio are positioned to capture breathtaking views. The landscape design ensures an uninterrupted reflection of the sky, making the pool a tranquil mirror of the natural surroundings.
This view highlights how the unique, angled glass facade of the 'Mobius' house was designed to frame the branches of an existing tree. Our landscape plan was built around preserving such natural features, making them integral to the home's identity.
In this unique residential project, we used landscape to enhance a dramatic architectural feature. A flight of stairs leading up to a cantilevered canopy is flanked by a dense arrangement of potted plants, creating a lush, green ascent.

Located in old Bangalore, this residence was designed around its magnificent, mature palm trees. The architecture rises to meet the trees, showcasing our philosophy of juxtaposing new construction with the site's existing natural heritage.
The landscape for this modern home is intentionally restrained to complement its seamless, curved facade. Simple, elegant planting of bougainvillea and a small tree adds color and life without distracting from the home's sculptural quality.
This decorative garden wall serves as an artistic focal point in a residential courtyard. The combination of vibrant yellow paint, traditional brass bells, a niche for a Ganesha statue, and tropical foliage creates a culturally rich and visually stunning feature.
This project features a swimming pool designed as part of an internal courtyard. The space is a modern interpretation of a traditional concept, with the water body acting as a central, light-filled hub for the entire home.

About Private Residences & Courtyards
We do not simply add a garden to your plot; we integrate the landscape into your home's structural DNA. Whether it involves a central skylit courtyard that functions as a passive cooling hub or terraced levels designed for rainwater management, every element serves both an aesthetic and functional purpose, bridging the gap between your interior living space and the outdoors.
Our philosophy regarding private residences centers on the belief that a home should breathe. We utilize passive design techniques to ensure your residence remains comfortable throughout the year, even in the dense urban fabric of Bangalore.
The Courtyard as a Functional Core
Many of our projects interpret the traditional courtyard as a modern light-filled hub. By designing rooms and private spaces around this central element, we facilitate the stack effect, which allows hot air to rise and escape through clear-storey vents. This creates a natural ventilation system that reduces dependency on mechanical cooling.
Materiality and Longevity
For hardscaping and outdoor areas, we focus on durability and site-specific materials. We employ:
- Flooring: Flamed granite or Kota stone set in geometric patterns, chosen for weather resistance and ease of maintenance.
- Waterproofing: Application of elastomeric membranes followed by geotextile fabric and Versicell drainage mats to protect the substructure in intensive terrace or courtyard gardens.
- Soil Management: Use of lightweight soilless potting mixes, such as Cocopeat and Vermiculite, to reduce the slab load on raised masonry planters.
Indoor-Outdoor Fluidity
We dissolve the boundary between inside and outside through the strategic use of glass walls and visual sightlines. Whether you are situated in a dense neighborhood or a sprawling farmhouse, our design intent focuses on creating a visual connection between volumes. We work around existing natural features, such as mature trees, to ensure your home feels rooted in its specific location rather than imposed upon it. Our goal remains to provide an 'ocean of serenity' for every occupant, including pets, by crafting spaces that are functional, well-ventilated, and flooded with daylight.
