Apero isn't just a catering business; it’s a project that started in my home kitchen during the pandemic and has grown into a full-scale operation in Khar West that prioritizes the warmth of a homemade meal above all else.
When I started Apero, the plan wasn't to scale—it was just to survive the lockdown. I had failed at other ventures and was desperate for a purpose. One 5 a.m. kitchen session, a jar of truffle edamame mousse, and a lot of trial and error later, things started clicking. Today, we handle bespoke grazing tables and luxury event catering across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area. The team began as just me, but now 22 passionate people share the load, handling everything from intricate floral setups for weddings to the precision of a corporate product launch.
We have faced our share of hurdles, including having to move our entire kitchen setup on short notice, but those moments only reinforced why we do this. We aren't just sending out food boxes; we are trying to deliver a feeling. Whether it's a cozy Date Night for 2 or a large-scale event, my goal is for every bite to feel like a warm hug.
