Baby-Led Weaning: Learn to Start Solids Confidently
Introducing solids should be about discovery and joy, not stress. Join this live workshop to learn how to guide your baby through self-feeding with safe, simple, and nutritious Indian meals.
This is my daughter Bhadra, enjoying a meal all by herself. Choosing baby-led weaning three years ago means our mealtimes are now relaxed and happy, which is the biggest reward. I want to help you find this same peace and confidence in your feeding journey.
Here are some of Bhadra's favorite meals from when she was just starting solids. You can see things like pancakes, besan chilla, and lots of fruit. My workshop is all about showing you how to prepare simple, healthy first foods that your baby will love to explore.
This picture says it all. Mealtimes should be about joy and discovery, not stress. This is the happy, messy reality of baby-led weaning that I love so much.
Ready to start your own baby-led weaning journey? This is all the info for my 2-hour online workshop where we cover everything from readiness signs to handling gagging, so you feel fully prepared.
About Featured
Most parents stress about spoon-feeding and the mess, but baby-led weaning is really about trusting your child's natural ability to eat. In this workshop, I break down the safety essentials, like how to spot the difference between gagging and actual choking, so you can stop worrying and actually enjoy those mealtime moments. We focus on simple, home-cooked foods like besan chilla and soft fruits that you can prepare right in your own kitchen.
The goal is to move from the fear of what might happen to the confidence of knowing what to do. During our two hours together, we strip away the overwhelm of traditional purees and look at how to serve real food that your baby can handle. You will learn to recognize when your baby is truly ready for self-feeding based on their physical development, not just their age.
A huge part of our time is dedicated to safety. I teach you the clear, practical signs that distinguish a natural gagging reflex from a dangerous choking event. It is a scary topic, but knowing the difference gives you the calm you need to let your baby explore texture and taste.
We also look at the Indian kitchen. You do not need fancy gear or complicated recipes. We cover how to adapt standard household staples like wheat dosa, idli, or soft-cooked vegetables into safe, graspable sizes for tiny hands. We discuss what to avoid, such as honey, added salt, or sugar, and how to handle allergies or food refusal without making mealtimes a battleground. This is an interactive session held over Zoom, so you can ask your specific questions about timing, quantities, or picky eating habits. You get full access to the recording afterward to revisit the tips whenever you need a refresher.
