About this collection
Designing a bridal blouse is more than just selecting a pattern. It is about how the fabric sits on your body. Whether you want a deep, traditional neckline or a modern sheer back, we start with a one-on-one consultation to finalize the fit and embroidery. My process includes two fitting sessions to guarantee zero-gap comfort, so you can move comfortably through your wedding rituals.
My design philosophy centers on the marriage of South Indian heritage and modern comfort. For silk saree blouses, I focus heavily on construction. This means using pre-washed cotton linings to prevent itching and high-density padding for a clean, structural fit.
Techniques like Maggam and Zardosi require patience and a steady hand. My team of artisans works with antique gold and silver threads to craft intricate motifs that honor tradition while maintaining a clean aesthetic.
Many clients come to me with a dilemma: how to style a classic Kanjivaram without looking dated. We often achieve this by focusing on blouse styling. A simple, elegant saree can become the center of attention with a blouse featuring detailed sleeve embroidery or a unique back design.
If you have a vintage saree that holds sentimental value, I specialize in transforming it. We can repurpose the fabric into a modern blouse or a statement lehenga, ensuring the piece stays part of your active wardrobe rather than sitting in a trunk.
My studio is based in Sanjayanagara, Bengaluru. I welcome you to visit for a consultation where we can look at fabric swatches and sketch out the design that feels like you.
