Getting the perfect shot takes more than just the right clothes. Here is a look at the collaborative process of building character personas and managing wardrobe on set for projects like CRAKK and Vanshaj.

A candid moment on the set of 'CRAKK' with Vidyut Jammwal. Being on location, especially in places like Poland, is one of the most exciting parts of my job.

On the 'CRAKK' set, deep in conversation about costume details. Clear communication with the actors and director is essential to my process.

Sharing a laugh with Vidyut Jammwal during the 'CRAKK' shoot in Poland. This futuristic silver outfit was one of the most unique costumes in the film.

All smiles and great vibes with Vidyut Jammwal on the 'CRAKK' set. It's always a pleasure working with such a positive and dedicated actor.

A lovely moment with Arjun Rampal on the set of 'CRAKK'. His relaxed, layered look with a turtleneck was perfect for the cold weather in Poland.

Another great memory from the 'CRAKK' shoot with Arjun Rampal. The beautiful autumn colors in Poland provided a stunning natural backdrop.

With my dearest friend Ankitt Mohan on the set of his project in Poland. I'm so glad I got the chance to style him for his role.

A typical day for me, sourcing outfits and accessories for a project. This was taken during a work trip to Dubai, browsing through racks to find the perfect pieces.

A monitor shot of John Abraham during a film shoot. His look here, with the open white shirt and gold chain, was crafted to build his character's persona.

About Behind the Scenes

People often think styling is just about picking pretty outfits, but on a film set, it is mostly about continuity and logistics. Whether we are shooting in the cold in Poland or on a studio floor in Mumbai, I am the one on the monitor checking for flyaways, steaming garments in the vanity van, and making sure the clothes do not bunch up on camera. It is a team sport, and I am always there to keep the actors comfortable while the director gets that perfect take.

The Reality Behind the Camera

When you see a hero walk on screen, there is a whole team making sure that look stays perfect from the first shot to the last. My role on a film or commercial set goes far beyond the initial fitting. It starts with creative direction, reading scripts, understanding the character’s motivation, and translating that into a visual narrative.

Continuity is Key

The most challenging part of my job is maintaining continuity. If an actor is wearing a denim shirt in a scene, every single accessory, button, and fold must be identical when we shoot the reverse angle hours or even days later. I spend my time glued to the monitor, watching for creases or flyaways that the audience might miss but the camera lens definitely will not.

On-Set Collaboration

Styling is not a solo act. I work closely with hair and makeup artists to ensure the entire aesthetic is cohesive. There is a lot of communication involved, talking to directors about the lighting, chatting with actors between takes to fix a jacket or adjust a tie, and managing the wardrobe logistics so the production does not skip a beat. Whether it is an action sequence for a movie like CRAKK or a character shoot for Vanshaj, the goal is to make the talent look sharp while ensuring they can move, act, and perform without the clothes getting in the way.

What to Expect

If you are hiring me for a shoot, expect me to be hands-on. I handle the bulk sourcing, the steaming, the last-minute alterations, and the on-set supervision. I am there to be the extra pair of eyes for the director and the comfort blanket for the talent.
