A memorable Tabla Jugalbandi at the Kamani Auditorium in Delhi. I had the honor of sharing the stage with my guru, Ustad Akram Khan, and other esteemed artists like Pandit Yogesh Shamsi, creating a powerful rhythmic dialogue.
Performing in a contemporary setting with vibrant stage lighting. This image captures the focused energy I bring to my fusion performances, where I adapt the tabla to genres like rock, jazz, and Sufi music.
In this intimate house concert setting, I am accompanying a sarangi player. I am explaining and demonstrating a rare and complex composition, a 'Stuti Palli Chakkardar' from Ustad Hashmat Ali Khan, showcasing the technical depth of my craft.
This is the official poster for the India tour with acclaimed South African guitarist Guy Buttery. It was a privilege to collaborate on this series of concerts, merging the sounds of fingerstyle guitar, sarangi, and tabla.

About Featured
Whether I am playing a traditional solo at a concert or blending my tabla with western genres in a fusion band, the goal is always the same: finding that perfect 'sam'—the rhythmic arrival point—where the music connects with the audience. I don't just provide music; I help set the tone of your gathering, ensuring the sound matches your venue's atmosphere, whether it is an acoustic room or a large stage.
My work spans two distinct worlds that feed into each other. On one hand, there is the Hindustani tabla solo, rooted in the Ajrara and Kirana Gharanas. This is where I present rare, old compositions, focusing on the technical clarity and emotional depth that these lineages are known for. It is perfect for formal baithaks, private house concerts, or intimate gatherings where the sound of the tabla can be truly appreciated.
On the other hand, there is the energy of fusion. With my band 'Mausiqaar', I push the boundaries of what the tabla can do. We blend Hindustani roots with Sufi rock, jazz, and contemporary acoustic melodies. This format works well for corporate events, wedding receptions, or festivals where you need a more dynamic, interactive performance that brings the crowd to life.
I have performed at major venues across Delhi and travel across India for gigs. Whether you need me to accompany a sitar or sarangi player for a soulful jugalbandi or bring a full 5-piece band for a high-energy show, the approach remains the same: I arrive early to tune, I respect the sound requirements of the space, and I ensure the music is tailored to the vibe of your event. I have never missed a performance, and I bring that same discipline to every single booking.

I see the tabla not just as an instrument, but as a language that connects directly to the listener's soul. Coming from the Kirana and Ajrara traditions, I bring that lineage into every performance, whether I am playing a quiet classical solo or energetic fusion with my band, Mausiqaar.
