About Janmashtami: Little Krishna & Yashoda
Here is the one thing you need to know about these sessions: you do not need to buy a single prop or outfit. My studio in Nehru Nagar is fully equipped with everything from dhotis and flutes to miniature royal thrones. You simply bring your baby, and I ensure they are comfortable in their costume before we start clicking.
These sessions are designed to be stress-free for both you and your child. We keep the studio temperature comfortable and the pace slow because babies need their own time to adjust to new outfits and props.
The Setup
Each Janmashtami shoot features a rotating selection of setups. We use:
- The Floral Swing (Jhula): Perfect for those soft, angelic shots of your baby.
- The Throne: A classic look with a miniature royal seat, peacock feathers, and earthen pots filled with 'maakhan' (butter).
- Mother-Baby Portraits: I encourage moms to join in. We have sarees that coordinate with our Krishna costumes, allowing us to capture that timeless Yashoda-Krishna bond.
Practical Details
- Costume Safety: Every outfit, from the dhoti to the jewelry, is sanitized after every use. We use skin-friendly, soft fabrics that won't irritate your child's sensitive skin.
- Session Duration: We allot 45 to 60 minutes for single themes, which allows for plenty of breaks if your child gets fussy.
- Location: We are based in Nehru Nagar, Kolhapur. The studio is fully indoor, so your shoot will never be cancelled due to the weather.
If you have a specific pose in mind or a prop from home you would like to include, let me know before the session so I can adjust the lighting and backdrop.
Aminesh Photography
I am Aminesh, and I love capturing the playful side of our culture right here in Kolhapur. My studio is filled with props for these Janmashtami shoots, and seeing kids dress up as Krishna is honestly the best part of my week. I keep the sessions relaxed because photos should be fun, not a chore for the kids.
