Bal Shivba: Traditional Photoshoot for Kids

Getting your child into the Bal Shivba look shouldn't be a struggle. In my studio, I have everything ready—the authentic angarkha, the pheta, the toy sword, and the miniature throne. You just bring your child, and I take care of dressing them up, posing them, and making sure they are comfortable so we get those sharp, royal expressions without the fuss.

A Royal Setup, Stress-Free

I design this Bal Shivba theme to be as authentic as possible while remaining comfortable for the child. The fort-like printed backdrop sets the scene, and I provide all the necessary accessories, including the toy sword, decorative lanterns, and the royal throne.

What the session includes:

• Wardrobe: I provide complete costumes including traditional dhotis, angarkhas, and pitambari fabrics.
• Accessories: Faux pearl necklaces, turbans, phetas, and waistbands are all available in the studio.
• Set Design: A dedicated fort interior backdrop, wooden throne, and props like the toy sword.
• Retouching: You get 10-15 high-resolution edited images with skin smoothing and color correction to ensure the vibrant festive colors pop.

How to prepare:

Since I handle the styling and the set, you don't need to bring anything except your baby. The session lasts 45 to 60 minutes. This gives us enough time to get the child comfortable and capture a variety of shots. If you have two children or want family portraits involved, I also have a 90-120 minute package that allows for two theme changes or family inclusion.

My studio is located in Nehru Nagar, Kolhapur, and is fully climate-controlled, so we don't have to worry about the weather outside. Whether it is for a birthday milestone or just a way to celebrate our Maratha history, this shoot is built to be a simple, professional process for parents.
