My Journey with Alankriti

I started this journey back in 1995 with nothing but a single tailor under my staircase. It was pure passion for fabrics, colors, and the magic of embroidery that kept me going. When I formally launched Alankriti in 2003, my belief stayed the same: true style is about feeling good in what you wear. Over the years, this space in Gurugram has become a hub for people who want something different—that 'hatke' look that is both timeless and comfortable.

The Custom Design Experience

Most of the pieces you see here started as a simple conversation. I work with clients across the NCR region who are looking for more than just off-the-rack options. My process is collaborative:

• Concept & Sketch: We begin with your Pinterest boards, fabric swatches, or even just a mood you want to capture.
• Fabric Selection: From premium linens and cottons for summer wear to rich velvets for winter, I guide you on what drapes best for your specific body type.
• Construction: My team and I handle everything from plus-size adjustments to complex structural boning for corsets. We focus on internal finishing—like using butter crepe lining and invisible zippers—so the garment feels as good as it looks.

More Than Just Occasion Wear

While I love designing for weddings and sangeets, my boutique is also where I experiment with everyday style. Whether you need a crisp co-ord set for a work meeting, a flowy cotton saree for a summer afternoon, or even specialized Kathak dance costumes with the perfect flare, I treat every project as an art form.
