About Modern Cocktail & Party Wear
Many clients come to me worried about how drape sarees or gowns will sit on their bodies. I use internal structuring like butter crepe linings and side-zippers so you never have to adjust your outfit while dancing. Whether it is a corset-style blouse or a wrap-around drape, my goal is to ensure you feel secure, elegant, and ready to enjoy the party without a second thought.
Cocktail nights and parties are all about finding that middle ground between high-fashion drama and practical comfort. In my Gurugram studio, I focus on creating Indo-Western ensembles that offer a 'hatke' (unique) look without the weight of traditional bridal wear.
My Approach to Cocktail Fashion
- Fabric & Silhouette: I lean towards flowy fabrics like georgette, modal satin, and silk that move with you. For a structural edge, I incorporate velvet blazers with hand-embroidered lapels or bustier-style blouses that define the waist.
- The 'Drape' Technique: My drape sarees and skirts are designed to give you the grace of a saree with the ease of a gown. You do not need to worry about pleats coming undone or managing a pallu. Everything is stitched to stay in place.
- Customization for Every Body: You never have to fit into a standard size here. I specialize in made-to-measure cocktail wear, including plus sizes. We start with a consultation to discuss your vision—be it a Pinterest mood board or just a color you love—and then we map out the necklines, back designs, and fabric choices together.
What to Expect During the Process
Whether you are looking for a sequin-heavy gown for a night event or a chic linen co-ord set for a daytime party, the process is collaborative. We include two rounds of fit trials to ensure the outfit is glove-like before you take it home. My boutique is located in South City II, and I invite you to visit, feel the fabric quality firsthand, and let's craft something special for your next celebration.
