Live Music Performances that Build Real Connections
For me, a performance is a two-way conversation. I do not just sing for you, I want to create a space where we share stories and maybe lose ourselves in the music together for a while.
Delhi, you were incredible. These smiles have my heart. The energy at Ekatva Festival was something special.
Another shot of the amazing crowd in Delhi. I love seeing people lost in the moment, clapping and singing along.
The joy on their faces says it all. This is why I do what I do. Connecting with you through music is the best feeling.
The crowd at BMSCE Phaseshift was pure energy. Hands up, singing along, making it a night to remember.
One of my most treasured gifts from a fan. A beautiful sketch capturing me in my element. I'm so grateful for this love.
Meeting a fan and seeing her with my custom merch. The response has been overwhelming, and it feels amazing to see my art connect.
A fan capturing the moment on their phone. It's a surreal feeling to see my performance through your eyes.
About The People & The Vibe
When we are planning your event, it helps to match the musical setup to your crowd size. For intimate sessions with 20 to 50 guests, I keep the acoustic arrangement cozy and conversational, while larger gatherings call for a full band that brings enough energy to get everyone moving. Let me know your venue type and guest count, and we can discuss the technical sound requirements needed to make the performance sound just right.
Finding the Right Sound
Getting the vibe right starts before the first note is played. A great show is not just about the setlist, it is about the logistics that make the performance possible. If you are looking at my solo acoustic set, we need a small, clear area and a basic PA system. It is simple, but it ensures that the vocals and the guitar come through clearly without overpowering the room.
For larger setups, like weddings or college festivals with 200 plus guests, we move to the full band. This requires a professional line array or heavy-duty PA. Regarding the technical setup, the sound check is non-negotiable. I need that 45 to 60 minutes with my sound engineer to make sure the mix is balanced and the energy is right before the first guest walks in.
The Performance Vibe
My favorite part of performing is the interaction. Whether it is a college festival in Bangalore or a quiet cafe gig in Mumbai, I look for those moments where the crowd is singing along. I play a mix of my own originals like 'Jigre' and 'Main aur Tu', alongside covers that we can all connect with. If you have specific song requests that fit the vocal style, tell me in advance so I can prepare them.
Logistics and Travel
I am based between Mumbai and Jammu, but I travel across India for gigs. If you are hosting an event outside these cities, just let me know the location details. We can sort out the travel logistics and the technical equipment needed so that the only thing you have to worry about is the music.
Akshita Mengi
I am Akshita, and for me, music is how I make sense of the world. Every gig I play is a chance to drop the armor and just be real with the people in the room, swapping stories and finding that quiet magic in the noise.
