Live Music Gigs and Festival Performances
From intimate cafe stages to massive festival grounds, I love sharing music that feels like a conversation. Here is a look at some of the stages I have called home.
The official poster for Anuv Jain's 'Guldasta' India Tour, where I had the honor of being a supporting act. A true "pinch me" moment.
The poster for Darshan Raval's India Tour. Opening for such a huge artist was an incredible experience.
Super thrilled to have opened for the one and only Jasleen Royal on her 'Heeriye' India Tour.
A fangirl moment. Singing "Baarishes" with Anuv Jain himself backstage was too dreamy.
A photo with Anuv Jain backstage. His songs truly heal, and he's been a massive inspiration on my musical journey.
A handwritten note from Anuv Jain and my artist pass for the 'Guldasta' tour. A treasured memory.
The "Artist" sign on my green room door for Anuv Jain's show. A small sign representing a huge dream realized.
On stage, opening for Anuv Jain. My name in lights behind me, a guitar in my hand. This is what I've worked for.
The poster for an 'Indie Showcase' in Delhi. I love being part of events that celebrate independent music.
I couldn't believe I was sharing a lineup with some of my favorite comedians for this event at the Marriott Hotel in Bengaluru.
About Gigs & Collaborations
Booking a live act is about finding someone who can actually read the room. When I step on stage, my priority is the vibe—whether it is a quiet acoustic set in a cafe or a high-energy festival crowd, I tailor my sound to the energy of the people in front of me, not just a static setlist.
It is never just about the song. It is about the dialogue between the artist and the audience. Sharing the stage with artists like Anuv Jain, Jasleen Royal, and Darshan Raval taught me one thing: music is about creating a space where people feel a little lighter by the end of the set.
Whether I am performing at a packed venue like Antisocial in Mumbai, Fandom in Bangalore, or playing for a private gathering, my goal remains the same—to connect. I handle various performance setups:
- Solo Acoustic: Perfect for cozy, intimate gatherings of 20 to 50 people where the focus is on storytelling and honest conversation.
- Trio/Duo: Ideal for mixers, cocktails, or parties where you want a richer, rhythmic sound but still keep it personal.
- Full Band: Designed for larger events, weddings, or college festivals where you want that 'festival headliner' energy and a sound that gets the whole crowd on their feet.
My setlists are a curated mix of my own indie-pop originals like 'Noor' and 'Jigre', paired with acoustic covers that everyone knows and loves. If you are looking for a performer who treats your event like a shared story rather than a gig, I would love to talk about what we can create together.
Akshita Mengi
Hi, I'm Akshita. I believe music is the armor I take off to share my most vulnerable self, whether I am in a studio or on a stage. I am just as happy with my guitar in a cozy cafe as I am fronting a full band for a crowd of hundreds.
